After releasing the PUBG 3.9 upgrade, Krafton is currently preparing to provide the BGMI 3.9 update to Battlegrounds Mobile India users. According to sources, the upgrade is presently in beta and will feature the much-anticipated Transformers partnership, transforming BGMI into a full-fledged sci-fi show. The BGMI 3.9 update, which includes fresh new gameplay features, themed zones, and new in-game goods, has the potential to improve gameplay.

While official details are kept under wraps, leaks have suggested the BGMI 3.9 upgrade release date, features, and more.

BGMI 3.9 update release timeline and timings

According to speculations, the BGMI 3.9 upgrade will be released around the second or third week of July 2025. If the reports are to be believed, the update could be issued on July 16 at roughly 6:30 AM for Android and 9:00 AM for iOS.

We contacted Krafton for more information, and it was verified that the update would be available within the next few days, possibly sooner than rumoured. It’s worth mentioning that Krafton has yet to confirm the official date.

BGMI 3.9 update: What could be new

Rumours say that the update will include a Transformers theme mode with Optimus Prime as a playable character. The gamers may notice two hotdrops where they can fight foes in a Transformers-inspired structure while also obtaining good loot and themed items with which to summon the characters.

The Erangel map could have a new Cyberpunk-themed drop zone with bright textures, dynamic lighting, graffiti walls, and high-quality loot. However, further information is being kept under wraps. Rumours also say that the update will include a new vehicle called Hoverboard, which would allow players to stand on it and navigate around the map while surfing on it.

Do note that these are not the official details and we may have to wait for a few more days to get more detailed information about the upcoming software.
