If you’re a Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) fan waiting for the much-anticipated BGMI 3.8 update, we’ve got good news for you. The new update is scheduled to arrive for all players on May 15, 2025, and will include exciting new updates such as new game mechanics, events, goodies, and much more. The BGMI’s next update will feature a Steampunk Frontier theme inspired by Attack on Titan.

According to reports, the BGMI 3.8 release date and time are scheduled for May 15, 2025, at 7 AM. However, the update will be released gradually across Android and iOS devices. This means that the update may arrive sooner or later for some players, depending on their location and device.

BGMI 3.8 update features

The Steampunk Frontier theme will give the update a distinct anime-inspired experience. It will also add two hot drop locations to the Erangel map: one near the Shooting Range and another near Mylta. It will feature exclusive loot and intense battles. Here’s what you’ll be able to see in the game.

A new item called Giant Potion will be available, allowing players to temporarily transform into giants, similar to the titans from Attack on Titan. Your teammates can also ride on your shoulders during this transformation.
Players will also see Spider Man-like devices that allow them to swing across the map, adding a new level of speed to the gameplay.
Additionally, players will see two loot trains roaming around the map, giving them the opportunity to loot valuable weapons and items and gain an advantage in battles.

All BGMI players are advised to have at least 2GB of storage on their device to ensure a smooth update. As soon as the BGMI 3.8 update becomes available, you can download it from the Google Play Store or the App Store. Because the update will be rolling out gradually, some players may have to wait, but we recommend that you keep an eye on it and install it as soon as it becomes available.
