Sennheiser has announced the HDB 630, a premium headphone promising high audio fidelity with a new transducer, advanced tuning, and a mobile-friendly design. The company has borrowed the Momentum 4 headphones’ chassis for this familiar design. But if you prefer lossless audio, then you can choose a wired connection. While the Momentum 4 launched globally for $350 (about Rs 31,000), the HDB 630 comes at a fairly higher price tag. Let’s start with its pricing and sale details:
The Sennheiser HDB 630 is priced at USD 499.95 (about Rs 44,000). It is currently up for pre-orders with shipments beginning 21 October 2025 via authorised retailers and the official Sennheiser Hearing website (sennheiser-hearing.com).
This pair of headphones is expected to come to India. However, we don’t have a timeline yet.
The HDB 630 introduces a newly engineered 42 mm transducer, designed and built in Ireland. It is supported by precision acoustic treatments that is said to maintain clarity across frequencies. It integrates a high-resolution digital engine that enables playback of 24-bit, 96 kHz audio both wired and via USB-C. For wireless users, you get Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX Adaptive codec support.
The headphones feature Adaptive Noise Cancellation to reduce background noise and on-head detection for automatic playback control.
The company claims the HDB 630 delivers smooth midrange detail, natural vocals, and responsive dynamics that stay true to studio mixes.
Sennheiser also brings several new sound tools through its Smart Control Plus app. The new Parametric Equaliser lets listeners fine-tune specific frequency bands, while the Crossfeed function, inspired by the brand’s HE 1 flagship, adds speaker-like naturalness to hard-panned tracks. These features can be saved, shared, and soon, distributed via QR codes.
A standout addition is the USB-C Bluetooth transmitter dongle, which can be connected to most modern smartphones and tablets to transmit high-resolution audio even if they lack native codec support. The headphones weigh 320 grams. The package consists of a USB-C cable, a 3.5 mm cable, an airline adapter, a USB-C dongle, and a carry case.
Design-wise, the HDB 630 sports the body of MOMENTUM 4 with added premium materials. Its headband uses Japanese Protein Leatherette from IDEATEX for extended comfort during long listening sessions. The headphones set weighs 320 grams, and it packs a 60-hour battery life. Sennheiser says you can get up to 7 hours of listening in just 10 minutes of quick charging.
