Samsung Electronics has announced its 2026 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup, introducing five new high-end models that push the boundaries of gaming displays. The range includes the world’s first 6K glasses-free 3D gaming monitor and the first monitor capable of a 1,040Hz refresh rate. The announcement matters for competitive gamers and creators alike, as Samsung is combining extreme refresh rates with ultra-high resolutions, a pairing that has traditionally involved compromises.
Samsung’s headline product is the Odyssey 3D, the world’s first 6K glasses-free 3D gaming monitor. Using real-time eye tracking, the display dynamically adjusts depth and perspective based on the viewer’s position, creating a 3D effect without headsets or glasses.
Aimed squarely at esports players, the Odyssey G6 sets a new industry benchmark with a 1,040Hz refresh rate using Dual Mode.

Samsung is expanding the G8 family to cover different performance and resolution priorities. The Odyssey G8 series includes three models:
‘With this year’s Odyssey lineup, we’re introducing display experiences that simply weren’t possible even a year ago,’ said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. He added that these monitors are designed to ‘meet the ambitions of today’s gamers.’
According to IDC, Samsung currently leads the global gaming monitor market for displays above 144Hz, with an 18.8 percent revenue share. The company says the new Odyssey range strengthens its position as competition intensifies from brands focusing on OLED and ultra-high refresh rate LCD panels.
The full 2026 Odyssey lineup will be shown publicly at CES 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6 to January 9, where hands-on demos will offer a clearer sense of how practical features like 6K gaming and 3D without glasses are in real-world use. We expect to learn about pricing and availability then.
