Portronics has launched the Pico 14, its latest compact smart projector in India. Unlike the Pico 13, which supported 4K resolution, this new projector delivers 720p visuals only on screens up to 100 inches. Like the predecessor, this one also uses Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology, found in affordable to mid-range projectors. The company is targeting the projector at students, working professionals, and entertainment enthusiasts who want a portable projector. The underlying OS is Android 13 with support for major OTT apps, thus eliminating the need for external streaming boxes. It weighs only 250 grams and comes with a tripod and remote. Here are the complete details:
The Portronics Pico 14 is priced at Rs 28,349 and is available via Portronics.com, Amazon.in, Flipkart, and other leading online and offline stores. It comes with a 12-month warranty.

As mentioned already, Pico 14 sports up to a 100-inch screen size, 720p resolution, 1600 lumens brightness, and 30,000-hour lamp life. In comparison, the Pico 13 features 3500 Lumens of brightness and 4K resolution. The newcomer can accept up to 4K input for modern media sources, but can project HD output only.
It has a 3W built-in speaker, which is again lower than the 10W speaker on the Pico 13. Other audio features include AUX support and Bluetooth 5.4 for external pairing.
The projector runs on Android 13 OS with preloaded apps including Netflix, Prime Video, Jio Hotstar, and YouTube. Other features in the mix include Autofocus, remote focus control, auto vertical and manual horizontal keystone correction, auto source detection, auto screen rotation, and optical zoom.
In terms of design, the Portronics projector features a 73 × 73 × 60 mm body, weighing 250 g, and boasts a rounded-square build with quiet cooling, operating at under 25 dB. A tripod and remote are included in the box.
It packs a 4800 mAh rechargeable battery, up to 60 minutes of wireless playback.
For connectivity, you get HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
So, the Pico 14 promises a simple setup with autofocus and keystone correction, making it suitable for small rooms and impromptu gatherings. The brightness and 720p resolution are adequate for personal entertainment, though not on par with high-end projectors aimed at professional use. Also, compared to older portable projectors from Portronics, the Pico 14 gains Android 13, eliminating the need for external streaming devices. At under 250 g, it is also very light.
