Specifications and features

While the Nord Buds 3 Pro sported 49dB ANC with a 4,000Hz bandwidth, the Nord Buds 4 Pro brings up to 55dB ANC with a 5000Hz noise reduction bandwidth. You also get Adaptive ANC with multiple levels, like light, moderate, and maximum.

For calls, there is a 6-mic setup with AI algorithms.

And for music, this is said to pack new titanium-coated drivers with higher power output than Nord Buds 3 Pro. There is support for the LHDC 5.0 codec for high-resolution audio streaming. You also get Spatial audio support, including a gaming-tuned mode.

The audio transmits through the new and more efficient Bluetooth 6.0 standard. Meanwhile, the Nord Buds 3 Pro has Bluetooth 5.4 with AAC codec.

Design-wise, the new earbuds sport slightly slimmer stems, an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, and slide gesture controls for volume adjustment. You also get Spotify Tap support and customisable tap gestures. The whole thing weighs over 4g per earbud.

That’s 0.4g lighter than the Nord Buds 3 Pro and still claims to carry a longer battery life of up to 54 hours (ANC Off, 50% volume and AAC codec). This includes the juice from the case. There is support for fast charging, which can offer 13 hours of playback in 10 minutes.

You can see real-time battery life and other controls through the HeyMelody app. This app lets you do real-time AI translation, too.

So, these upgrades suggest a feature-rich offering besides table stakes like audio quality, ANC, and long battery life. Stay tuned for our review on Digit.in.
