LG Electronics, in partnership with American rapper and singer-songwriter will.i.am, will be unveiling a new range of Xboom portable speakers at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The refreshed lineup builds on last year’s Stage and Bounce models, aiming to combine powerful sound, AI-driven personalisation, and lifestyle-focused design. These speakers aim to be usable in parties, outdoors, or at home. LG is expected to disclose pricing and availability at CES.
Speaker specifications and key features
The new lineup includes four models designed for different use cases:
Xboom Stage 501
Up to 25 hours playback, swappable 99Wh battery
AI Karaoke Master that removes or adjusts vocals and pitch
Up to 220W power when plugged in, 160W on battery
Five-sided cabinet with multiple placement options
What it means: Stage 501 is built for parties and home entertainment. The karaoke feature is the hook here, since it works without special files or subscriptions.
Xboom Blast
Up to 35 hours playback
220W output with three passive radiators
Rugged build with edge bumpers and military-grade testing
Side rope handle and rubber top handle for easier carrying
What it means: This is clearly positioned as the outdoor party speaker. Big battery endurance is the main selling point.
Xboom Mini
Up to 10 hours playback
Compact cube design with Magic Strap
IP67 dust and water resistance
Built-in tripod mount and tactile controls
What it means: Mini targets casual everyday listening, kitchens, desks, and patios. Focus is on convenience, not loudness.
Xboom Rock
Up to 10 hours playback
Tested to seven military standards
Upgraded 6W output over the earlier XG2
LE Audio Auracast for group listening
Smart button for quick app control
What it means: Rock is aimed at hikers and travellers who want durability first, sound second.
This launch leans heavily on AI. FYI.RAiDiO is now integrated deeply into the speakers, allowing users to interact with AI DJs and personas through conversational controls. With the MY Button or companion app, listeners get real-time playlists and recommendations based on context and location.
AI Sound automatically tweaks EQ based on content, while Space Calibration Pro adjusts output to suit the room or outdoor space. AI Lighting adds synced visual effects for party environments.
The pitch from LG and will.i.am is that speakers should ‘learn’ how you listen, not just play music louder. The real test, however, will be pricing, app reliability, and how natural the AI features feel in daily use.
