With Hangouts Remote Desktop, you can help others by controlling their computer remotely.

Google has rolled out an update to its Google social networking service, adding the remote desktop feature to Hangouts. Now users can allow others in their network to control their desktop through the Hangouts app.

Since users are part of a Hangout, they can still see each other and conduct voice chats while controlling other person’s computer. This is supposed to make providing tech support much easier.

Hangouts’ Remote Desktop is equipped with same technology on the Chrome Remote Desktop. To start with Hangouts Remote Desktop, users need to start a Hangout with their contact. After joining the Hangout, click the “View More Apps” button placed on the left panel of the screen. Click “Add Apps” and install the app. To know more about the update click here.
