Kodak has officially entered the Jio-powered smart TV ecosystem with the launch of its first JioTele OS-enabled television in India. The newly introduced 43-inch QLED 4K Smart TV is available starting today, priced at ₹18,999, and will be sold exclusively via Amazon.
This release closely mirrors the recent launch of a JioTele OS-powered Smart TV under Thomson, a sister brand of Kodak, which we reviewed earlier. Interestingly, both TVs are priced the same and offer a similar blend of hardware and software tailored for Indian audiences.
With the rising demand for personalised and regional content across Indian households, the integration of JioTele OS is a deliberate step toward building a user experience that prioritises language, content familiarity, and accessibility. The operating system is designed to be fast, responsive, and localised.
Through the Jio Store, users get access to 300+ live TV channels, 300+ JioGames, and a library of regional and global OTT platforms, along with AI-powered recommendations. The system also includes a dedicated sports page featuring real-time coverage of major events including cricket, kabaddi, football, and motorsports.
The TV features a 43-inch QLED 4K panel enhanced by HDR support. For audio, the television is fitted with 40W Dolby Digital Plus stereo speakers and surround sound capabilities, powered by Dolby Audio technology.
Under the hood, the smart TV is powered by an Amlogic processor, paired with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, offering smooth app transitions and responsive system performance. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and support for multiple external devices such as game controllers, headphones, and keyboards.
The bundled voice-enabled remote includes support for multiple Indian languages and features shortcut buttons for Netflix, JioCinema, and YouTube, enabling quick access to commonly used apps.
