Last night’s “Awe-Dropping” event by Apple had many awes, some raised eyebrows, and many new iPhones, in interesting colours. The highlight of the event wasn’t the usual iPhone 17, Pro, or Pro Max, but the brand-new model, the iPhone 17 Air, which replaced the usual Plus variant. It’s ridiculously slim at just 5.6mm, making it Apple’s thinnest iPhone yet. Well, all of that chat for some other day, I am here to discuss the prices of the brand new iPhone 17 series in India and other countries. Even though a lot many desire iPhones, these phones sit in a premium segment, beyond the reach of many.
The iPhone 17 series’ prices differ across countries, particularly because of the duties and taxes that are levied by each country. Here, I break down the costs of each of these new iPhone models in different countries, along with that of India, so that we all can collectively feel poor in various currencies.
United States
India
United Kingdom
Dubai
Canada
Australia
China
If you compare the Indian prices, as usual, they are on the higher side compared to other countries. So, it seems like the best option lies in calling that friend or cousin living abroad and asking them to get you an iPhone. Or like they say every time, take a trip to Dubai, come back with an iPhone instead of buying it from India. What are your thoughts on it?
