Asus ROG began as a simple motherboard brand. But today, it is a complete ecosystem in itself. From PC components and peripherals to laptops, desktops, monitors and handhelds, there is an Asus ROG product for almost every need. This year, ROG turns 20. And at Computex 2026, the company celebrated that journey with “Edition 20”, a special anniversary lineup packed with limited-edition devices that show where ROG wants to go next.
“You are the reason we exist, and the reason we innovate.” Asus ROG chairman Jonney Shih spoke to gamers during the showcase in Taipei, Taiwan.
And that’s not all. There was even a surprise appearance from Ned Luke, the actor best known for playing Michael De Santa in GTA V. As soon as Luke walked on to the stage and started talking, the energy in the room felt different.
Coming back to the products that were unveiled, there is a lot to look forward to. For instance, an ultra-powerful Strix SCAR 18 gaming laptop, a premium Xbox Ally handheld bundle, and a cyberpunk-inspired board game. Basically, the Edition 20 showcase has a little something for everyone. Without wasting any more time, let’s take a closer look at all that was showcased today.

The new ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2026) is for all those gamers who are always on-the-move but also want a super immersive gaming experience.
The new ROG Strix SCAR 18 comes with up to Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor along with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Asus also says the system can deliver up to 320W of sustained total system power, which is a huge number for a portable machine. This kind of power means that the laptop should handle heavy AAA gaming, video editing, demanding creative tasks and pretty much anything you throw at it without slowing down.
Apart from all that muscle, the real head-turner here is the display. The Strix SCAR 18 is equipped with a massive 18-inch screen. And this is a 4K 240Hz Mini LED laptop panel. Moreover, it is part of the company’s ROG Nebula HDR lineup and also supports Extreme Low Motion Blur technology for smoother visuals during fast-paced games.
Asus has also made the laptop easier to upgrade. The device comes with a tool-less design that lets users quickly access the SSD and RAM slots without needing complicated disassembly. For gamers who constantly upgrade storage or memory, that is a super useful addition.
As for the overall design, it still keeps the aggressive gamer-focused look ROG fans expect, complete with Aura RGB lighting and a premium chassis.
Asus’ mROG XBox Ally X is already a popular product. But, Asus has added a twist. The company just unveiled the limited-edition ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle as part of its anniversary celebrations.
When you first look at it, the device immediately stands out because of its transparent black finish and gold internal accents.
The handheld is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and features a new 7.4-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. ASUS has also upgraded the controls with improved joysticks and a redesigned D-pad for better comfort during long gaming sessions.
Now, the best and perhaps the most exciting part about this bundle are the gaming glasses that you get along with it. The bundle also includes the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses. As soon as you put these glasses on, they will make you feel as if you are sitting inside a theatre, playing your favourite game on the big screen. The glasses are also super light and comfortable to wear so that longer gaming sessions are not a problem.
For desktop gamers, Asus introduced the ROG G1000 Edition 20, a limited-edition prebuilt gaming PC that focuses heavily on cooling and visual flair.
The system supports up to an RTX 5090 GPU and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, putting it firmly in enthusiast territory. ASUS says the desktop uses a special Tri-Zone cooling system along with a 420mm liquid cooler capable of handling up to 1000W TDP.
The chassis itself is equally dramatic. ASUS claims the G1000 features the world’s first holographic fan system in a prebuilt gaming desktop through something called the AniMe Holo display. The company is clearly trying to make the PC feel more personal and expressive instead of just being another black tower sitting under a desk.
To mark the anniversary, every Edition 20 unit will also include a special serial number and exclusive gold-themed detailing.
Perhaps the most unexpected announcement from ASUS was “ROG Saga: In Search of Lapuntu Edition 20”, the company’s first-ever board game.
The game is based on ROG’s cyberpunk-inspired fictional universe and supports up to four players. ASUS says players can form alliances, complete missions, and explore interconnected storylines together.
The package also includes a premium gaming tablemat and themed accessories designed around the ROG aesthetic. While it may sound unusual for a gaming hardware brand to launch a board game, it also shows how ASUS wants ROG to evolve beyond traditional PCs and laptops.
Beyond laptops, monitors, and handhelds, Asus also announced a bunch of high-end components for hardcore PC builders who spend more time tweaking their setups than actually sleeping.
One of the biggest announcements was the ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 motherboard. Asus is positioning it as a flagship motherboard built for extreme gaming rigs and overclocking setups. The interesting part here is the integrated cooling system developed alongside the ROG Ryujin Edition 20 cooler. ASUS says the setup cools both the CPU and the VRM together, which should help maintain stable performance during heavy workloads and intense gaming sessions.
The motherboard itself also sounds ridiculously loaded. There is support for up to nine M.2 SSD slots, massive power delivery for high-end processors, and even a dual AMOLED display setup that can show system information and custom visuals.
Then there is the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 GPU, which looks like something designed purely to flex. Asus has added a curved AMOLED display directly onto the graphics card itself, allowing users to show animations, hardware stats, and system visuals inside their PC case.
Cooling is naturally a major focus too. The card uses a quad-fan setup alongside liquid metal thermal compounds and a vapour chamber cooling system. Asus says it can draw up to 800W of power under extreme loads, which is frankly insane even by enthusiast GPU standards.
To power setups like these, Asus also unveiled the ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20 power supply. And yes, the “3000W” part is real. The PSU is apparently designed to support systems running up to four RTX 5090 GPUs at once, which is the kind of setup most people will probably only see on YouTube.
Interestingly, Asus also gave the power supply its own detachable OLED display for real-time monitoring. Because apparently, even PSUs need gaming aesthetics now.
And for people who want desktop-level gaming power without a giant tower taking over their room, Asus introduced the ROG NUC 16 Edition 20. This tiny three-litre gaming machine packs an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU into an ultra-compact body with transparent design elements and gold accents matching the rest of the Edition 20 lineup.
Despite the small size, Asus claims the cooling system can still handle up to 300W of combined CPU and GPU heat output. The company is also pushing it as a living-room gaming machine capable of handling 8K gaming and multiple 4K displays.
