Samsung has just launched the all-new Galaxy Book 5 in India and is calling it their “most affordable AI-powered laptop” to date. The new device joins the Galaxy Book series with the aim of bringing advanced productivity and creativity tools to a wider set of users. The laptop comes with a 15.6 screen, Intel’s Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 processors, and AI features. Its price starts from Rs 77,990.
The Galaxy Book 5 comes with a 15.6-inch full HD display featuring an anti-glare coating, making it suitable for both work and entertainment. It is powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 processors, backed by a 12 TOPS NPU that is designed to handle AI-driven tasks more efficiently. Samsung claims the new model delivers over 38 percent improved graphics performance compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Book 4. The laptop is also said to be slimmer and lighter this time, while still offering a variety of ports for versatile connectivity.
One of the biggest selling points of the Galaxy Book 5 is its suite of AI features. These include AI Photo Remaster, which enhances image quality using machine learning; AI Select, allowing users to search any on-screen element instantly; and Copilot integration with a dedicated hot key for quick access. The laptop also brings Circle to Search on PC, a feature previously seen on Samsung smartphones, along with Transcript Assist, which can automatically generate transcripts from meetings or recorded content.
Battery performance is another area Samsung has focused on. The Galaxy Book 5 packs a 61.2Wh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 19 hours of video playback on a single charge. This could make it an attractive option for students and professionals who need an all-day device without frequent charging.
The laptop is being offered in four variants and Grey colour. Pricing starts at ₹77,990, with customers able to avail bank cashback offers of up to ₹10,000 and no-cost EMI plans of up to 24 months. It is available starting today across Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, authorised retailers, and major e-commerce platforms.
