Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 Projectors launched with Google TV, HDR10, and Netflix

Updated on 07-Jul-2025

Lumio, the Indian consumer tech company which launched its range of smart TVs just two months ago, is now entering the home projector space with two new products: the Arc 5 and Arc 7.

Lumio says the new Arc series is designed to address key barriers that have prevented wider projector adoption in Indian homes: clunky interfaces, lack of OTT app support, poor audio, and inadequate service.

According to Lumio’s internal research, projectors account for just 1% of India’s home display market, compared to 15–20% in more developed countries. The midrange segment (₹20,000–₹50,000), in particular, remains largely unserved, leaving consumers to choose between low-end generic models or expensive, feature-rich imports.

The Arc 5 and Arc 7 aim to bridge that gap, bringing features typically reserved for premium projectors into a more affordable price bracket. Both the Arc 5 and Arc 7 run certified Google TV, come with built-in Netflix, YouTube, and OTT app access, and offer native Full HD (1080p) resolution through Lumio’s sealed “Arclight Engine.” The engine is dust-resistant, uses a long-life LED light source, and incorporates a sealed LCD for sharper visuals and fewer maintenance headaches over time.

For ease of use, the projectors offer automatic keystone correction (±30° vertical and ±25° horizontal), instant autofocus, and obstacle avoidance via a Time-of-Flight (TOF) sensor, features that simplify projection in non-ideal home setups. Lumio calls this suite of technologies STR8 (Smooth Trapezoidal Recalibration), designed to make plug-and-play projection more accessible for first-time users.

The Arc 5 is the more compact of the two, aimed at portable use cases like dorms or bedrooms. It weighs 1.33 kg and is rated at 200 ANSI lumens, which Lumio says is suitable for dim environments. The audio comes from a 5W speaker setup with dual passive radiators and Dolby Audio support.

The Arc 7 bumps the brightness to 400 ANSI lumens, adds stereo 8W speakers, and is designed for more permanent living room setups. Both models support projections up to 100 inches and offer a range of connectivity options: HDMI 2.0 (with ARC), USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5 (dual-band), and a 3.5mm audio jack.

In continuation with its Vision TV series, the Arc series also gets the TLDR app, which is a sports and music-focused dashboard preloaded on both devices. TLDR Sports includes live scores, match schedules, and cricket/football highlights. TLDR Music features curated playlists and trending tracks, with integration via YouTube Music.

Lumio Arc remote, which it calls “Minion Noir” supports Google Assistant voice control and shortcut buttons for key apps like Netflix and TLDR.

Both projectors are assembled in India and built to handle local conditions including dust, humidity, and unstable power supply. Lumio backs the devices with a one-year warranty and after-sales service through its 200+ centre pan-India network.

The Lumio Arc 7 will go on sale from July 12, 2025, on Amazon India at Rs 34,999, with early bird pricing of ₹29,999 available during Amazon Prime Day (July 12–14). The Arc 5 is scheduled to go on sale in the last week of July at Rs 19,999.

“We see projectors as the next frontier in home entertainment,” said Raghu Reddy, CEO of Circuit House Technologies. “While India’s projector market is small, its potential is massive. The Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 bring the polish of our TVs— Google TV, stunning visuals, and room-filling audio—into a portable, easy-to-use package that requires no installation. We’re making projectors accessible, reliable, and joyful, backed by the same nationwide support that made our TVs a success.”
