Asus just announced a bunch of new smart devices and a PC at the Computex convention in Taiwan. We had the chance to take a look at some of the devices. Here is a quick look of the Asus ZenFone Selfie, Asus ZenPad 8, Asus ZenPad 10 and the Asus AIO PC.
Asus Zenfone Selfie
SoC: Qualcomm Snapdragon 615
Camera: 13MP rear and 13MP front
OS: Android Lollipop
The smartphone has a 5.5-inch 1080p display.
The design remains very similar to the recently launched Zenfone 2 phones, and carries the power button at the top.
The volume rocker is still at the back. Both rear and the front facing cameras get laser autofocus as well as a dualtone-LED flash.
The phone will be available in different back options, just like the Zenfone 2
The Asus ZenPad 8 is powered by an Intel Atom X3 SoC which houses a quad-core 1.4GHz processor along with a Mali 450 MP4 GPU. There are two variants with 1GB and 2GB of RAM with storage options of 8GB and 16GB respectively. There is a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.
The front incorporates an 8-inch 1280 x 800p IPS display which means this tablet could be aimed at the budget segment.
Removing the back cover, one can see the SIM slot and the side slit for a microSD card.
The bottom of the tablet has the microUSB port as well as the headphones jack
There are plenty of back covers available for the tablet and here you can see some in different colours.
Asus has also made a Dolby DTS cover for the tablet for video watching purposes as the cover itself has 6 channel audio support.
Asus also launched the ZenPad S8 at the event. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z3580 SoC. It features 4GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB storage options, 8MP rear and 5MP front cameras. The 8-inch display on this tablet features a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. However, this model only supports Wi-Fi.
We also saw the Asus ZenPad 10 at the event, which is a 10.1-inch Android tablet and comes with a keyboard.
The keyboard is easily detachable but doesn't have its own battery.
Here's a close look at the keyboard, which packs a large speaker grill at the top.
The back top left edge houses the camera module.
