My 1st smart watch Best ever easy to use Build quality super
Please do not purchase this watch as it's strap is very weak and will not go beyond 3-4 months. As I had used it and start broke out in just 3 months due to bad material used. Also Asus is not providing the wristband and saying me to purchase it from outside and it is available nowhere. So after wristband damage watch will become useless.
Let's be honest here. Android Wear is still handicapped and will continue to be so unless Google seriously steps up the game in Wear 2.0. This is the cheapest yet full featured Wear smartwatch you can get in India at this moment. The watch build is good, but the leather straps are really cheap for something costing 19K. The software is almost original Android Wear, but Asus has managed to include a ton of useless apps and watchfaces that slow down the UI if I use their faces. This is really disappointing but it can be fixed via ADB and with some knowledge of Android. The battery life is great for Wear, draining 100 to 60 after one day usage with tilt to wake, wifi, hand gestures off, and always on screen enabled.
Design 5/5. working 3/5
Great Product at Great Price. This is a nice Modern Smart Watch with Classic Tadka. I made an unboxing video of this smart watch. You can watch that video for more information. To watch the unboxing video just type Asus ZenWatch 3 Flipkart on YouTube. You will find my video on the top of the search result. The title of my video is: Asus ZenWatch 3 Flipkart Packing Unboxing [Hindi].
While its a good looking smartwatch (I am using it with and Iphone so limited functionality), the battery barely lasts 24 hrs vs. the claimed 2 days. I have tried both with always-on screen on & off. Even with notifications off. For e.g. charged it 100% at 6 PM yesterday & sitting now at 11:30 am with no battery. Also, dont even think about using it as a fitness device (not even as a pedometer). The step count was way off (with GPS on or off). It showed me almost double the number of steps and distance compared to what my phone shows me (and what my phone shows me is correct as thats an average which both Samsung and Iphone have showed me over the past few years). For me I was primarily looking for a good watch, which it is with the little added advantage of showing notifications, but the disadvantage of requiring a charge in less than a day. Hoping that Android Wear 2.0 will add some more functionality to it for this category (Smartwatches) to become more relevant...
Got this amazing piece of watch on the second day after the launch.. Asus had lived upto its expectation. Pros: 1)Stylish look 2)Display 3)Battery drain time 4)Wrist gestures 5) What not so many Cons: If you're an Iphone user like me !! you gotta wait for future update, since there will be no call functionality least you can get is phone notifications about calls and messages and the damn bad thing is wont be able to reply through watch... stay tuned peeps, will be back after a week usage and will be comparing with other brands ;) :)
Great pice of tech, verry smooth touch...,too much fun with coustomise faces. So, don't see farther ..just go for it.:)
This is my third watch after gear s2 and moto 360 2nd gen. Reviewing after one week of use it is the best Android wear right now in the market, battery last for 1 day only not 2 days as asus mentioned it can last for 2 days. Display and processor is good smooth and speedy without any lack.
But there is one omission in the Indian version of the watch and I think every consumer out there should know it. The Zenwatch 3 in the Us starts at 220$ and you get the watch, charger and a battery pack with the watch. But in India Zenwatch 3 starts at 275$ roughly and you don't get the battery pack like other international buyers. This is a serious concern as Indian consumers are not being treated equally by the Brand. We pay more, partly due to customs etc. but we don't even get what we paid for. That is not acceptable to me. Thus this will be my last Asus product.
