OnePlus U1 55-inch 4K HDR TV

Props to Amazon for next day delivery and the installation was also on time. It's such a great piece of tech. So many features for improving quality of life. The thinness of the TV was so surprising in person. These are some of the things that stood out to me after using it for a couple of days. Pros - 1. Amazing color range - Netflix with 4k HDR and Dolby Vision stuff like Our Planet look absolutely stunning. The Blacks are also great for an LED. 2. Oxygen OS - Oxygen OS is my recommendation for android after vanilla android which exists in Pixel smartphones. Similar to the phone OS the TV is also crisp and bloatware free, everything just works perfectly. 3. Speakers - Surprisingly good and loud. The Surround mode was also decent. 4. OnePlus Connect - In just 2 days I have used the connect app for remote control more than I have used the remote for the TV. 5. DesignAesthetic - The design of the TV is also so good, the bezels are pretty much non existent, from the sides it's thinner than I could have imagined. 6. Works well in Game Mode too. 20ms input lag is fine, HDR works well with PS4 and Games look really good. 7. Got a free Echo Dot, good integration with Amazon Alexa. Cons - 1. Connect App has a bug where the volume keeps decreasing automatically for iPhone, but I'm sure it will be fixed soon enough. 2. Would have liked to change recommendations in the OxygenPlay section to only certain apps like Netflix, Prime and Hotstar instead of all the apps present, like Hungama etc. It's because of all the other apps that I don't even use it. Same goes for the movies in the Connect App 3. Upscaling for SD content is okayish, nevertheless didn't buy it for SD content. 4. Mount was not included, but was only ₹500 5. The System Screensavers look upscaled to 4k and are not sharp and don't look good upclose at times. 6. Remote feels too plastic-y

The product quality is very bad.... Audio is very very low.... There was no warranty card in the box.... no user manual... The batteries were already there in the remote.... AV cable was already inserted in the TV.... Amazon sent me an old TV packed again.... Tv doesnot work for more then 10 minutes.... after 10 minutes of operations it shuts down on its own... Amazon doesnot have any technician who can see the issue... they need more then 48 hours to arrange a technician visit... Amazon service is too bad for appliances.... have ordered a washing machine before and it was tempered.... Amazon is good to buy items worth 500-1000 Rs... never trust amazon for appliances or expensive items... they themselves sends installation technician who himself tells that the tv is faulty still they have redundant policy.... basically they want to trouble people so that they can keep the faulty product... I have never expected this from One plus... being such a good brand and this type of carelessness

Loved the picture quality. Happy with the installation too. The installation date was missed but on complain, the agency acted promptly and ensured that even in heavy rains, the installation work was completed. The 55inch 4K One Plus is worth its price. The sound quality is Decent, not great but pretty decent. The features are really good. There is a minor bug though, when typing something from the mobile, there are lot of repeat words which gets copied while typing. I hope this minor bug gets fixed in the next release. Not sure can be compared with a Samsung, LG, Sony but the product durability will be a lookout in the future. We had a Samsung LCD earlier and the product literally worked for 13 years without a single repair issue Expecting same or better from One Plus.

Brilliant product, received it intact in the box. The picture quality is really nice but could get better blacks and contrast in the dark areas. 4K works really well and overall it's a very nice product! Worth every penny.

Overall the product is good, just a small issue of voice breaking and lag when connecting my Bluetooth headset with tv. I hope that it gets resolved with software update. With respect to sound quality high and mid range are good but you can feel the low range to be diminishing and inaudible. Overall the main issue is with the sound segment and I would recommend you to budget a decent sound bar alongwith it. In this price segment it is an excellent buypicture quality gives a cinematic experienceand gives a premium look to your homespecially if wall mounted.

Excellent Tv, Very very premium that other budget brand's. Picture Quality is amazing no regrets at all. Vibrant colors, brightness, sharpness. Sound is average but still manageable. I've soundbar so no issue. Software is great no lags. Oneplus connect is also working great smooth. I'm totally happy with this tv.

This is a in depth review of the tv after 3 days of use. First of all, the installation guy came very fast like just the next day but when i told him to wall mount the tv he said your previous tv's wall mount will work fine so i said okay. The installation guy tried his best to open the screws on the back of the tv but they were stuck, as you can see in the pictures i uploaded, he scratched my tv soo badly while trying to remove the screws but failed, the installation guy did not know a thing about the features of this tv so did not give any kind of demo or anything which was really sad because i had to figure out everything on my own. I complained in Amazon to replace it as this tv can't be wall mounted but no response yet. The picture quality of this tv is just brilliant 55, you will not face any problems in picture quality for sure. The dolby vision is just exceptional. There are many options for video and sound settings in this tv. The sound 2.55. The highs are good, the base is okay but the mids and the lows are very bad, the dialogues in almost 70% of the movies and shows were only audible clearly after increasing the voice to 70-80 and it is not a good experience. Dolby atmos doesn't matter much till you have that type of home theatre setup. I couldn't find any Chromecast option as such but I tried to cast my oneplus phone to this tv and it totally failed, it did not respond to whatever i was doing on the phone. It was just showing the home screen of the phone. The remote is super easy to use and is really responsive. There was no lags when i played games on ps4, the HDR quality of the games were really good. But i saw somewhere that they had some enhanced game mode but it was just some filter type thing. Not very helpful Alexa works on the device pretty well with echo dot. The overall UI is pretty good, but i noticed lags at various times, i guess they will fix it in the updates because it already has a 3 GB ram so must be software issue. The bezels are really thin and looks wonderful, the finishing is excellent. The tv looks premium. OnePlus connect app is okayish. Not a deal breaker. Couldn't find the MEMC option yet. I have a superfast Net but still the 4k videos were lagging on the YouTube app idk why, it worked fine on other apps. The conclusion:- In 50k the picture quality is the best you can get, the performance is good as it has 3 GB ram, the sound is not good for movies, you need to purchase a soundbar. Not soo cheap, you get almost all these things in like 30-40k price in other brands tv. The tv build quality and looks are premium no doubt. I expected better from OnePlus. I think they settled. Edit after 5 days:- The sound just sucks, dialogues in all movies and youtube videos are audible clearly only on 70-80 sound and i am saying just audible not clear or good. You need a soundbar for sure. Also for the wall mount they are saying they cannot replace they can just return, i wanted to replace because i like the picture quality. Chromecast does not work, check for yourself once you get the tv.

Tv is fine except when I connect to sony home theatre it throws cracking sound. I have connected hdmi arc port but the sound is still there. Let's see if this can be resolved by one plus.
