Who doesn’t love superheroes? From the beginning of the comic book medium to the modern age, superheroes have stood the test of time and even flourished and become some of the most valuable intellectual properties in history. We’ve all heard of the incredible popular Superman and Batman and now with the Avengers breaking all sorts of box office records, superheroes have finally arrived. With that in mind, we here at Digit love our superheroes and wanted to share that passion and enthusiasm with you guys. So, we’ve compiled a list of the best superhero TV shows on Netflix that you can binge through during the lockdown. Although some of these shows have been acquired from other channels, we’ve also included a few Netflix original superhero shows to whet your appetites as well. Not a western superhero, per se, the Monkey King is held in almost god-like esteem in east Asian cultures so it’s fitting to include this excellent show on our list. Based on the Journey to the West, New Legends of Monkey is a family-friendly that has something for everyone.

Black Lightning has been a mainstay in DC Comics since the 70s and has now finally gotten his own show. Look, it’s not the most awesome show out there but for a superhero show, it’s nota bad addition to the list. Do check it out if you’ve got a weekend to spare.

One of the OG superheroes of Japan, Ultraman makes his return to Netflix. The show started back in the 60s where Ultraman would battle rubber suited monstrosities. With the new show done up in a slick anime style, you can expect more action and cool looking creatures and robots.

The Protector tells the tale of a simple man who finds out he’s part of a secret ancient order in modern Istanbul and must embark on a quest to save the city from an immortal enemy. It’s got a good storyline with excellent effects and should be worth a watch during a lazy weekend.
