Neerja (2016)

Neerja is a biopic based on the eponymous flight attendant’s life who died on the ill-fated Pan Am 73 flight. It explores Neerja Bhanot’s life as she deals with personal and professional problems while carrying on with her duties in the best way possible. She dies trying to protect the passengers of the ill-fated Pan Am 73 flight from the terrorists who had hijacked the plane. Eddie the Eagle (2016)

Eddie the Eagle is a biopic based on Eddie Edwards’ life, the first British national to represent Great Britain in ski-jumping at the Olympics. This movie explores Eddie Edwards’s life as he fulfils his childhood dream of becoming an Olympian and shows the internal and external challenges he overcame. The movie did very well in the theatres and earned itself the tag of being one of the top biopic films on Disney+ Hotstar.

Into the Storm (2009)

Into the Storm takes a gander at Sir Winston Churchill’s life when he became the prime minister of Great Britain in its darkest hour. Churchill was known for his strong headedness and determination, as the movie shows. It focuses on World War 2, when the British were up against the Nazis and how Churchill stood by his country and commanded its forces to push back Nazi Germany.

A Hidden Life (2019)

A Hidden Life is a biopic movie based on Franz Jägerstätter, an Austrian farmer who refused to fight in the World War and was executed by the Nazis. This movie shows Franz’s life and how the war and the pressure of fighting in the war ruin it. When he refuses, he faces prosecution by the Nazi Government for defying their orders and is eventually awarded the death sentence. This movie shows how the Nazis subjected the poor to extreme cruelty.

The movie explores Jimmy’s life as he teaches his students the basics of baseball and how to become excellent players.
