Ford v Ferrari is a biopic based on the lives of Carroll Shelby, an automotive designer, and Ken Miles, a British race car driver. Shelby gets hired by the Ford Motor Company to build a race car capable of annihilating the Ferrari race cars on track in the Le Mans 24 hours races. This movie explores Dhoni’s life and shows the events that led him to take up cricket and all the ups and downs in his personal and professional life that have made him the person he is today.

Sanju (2018)

Sanju is a biopic movie on the life of the Indian actor, Sanjay Dutt, aka Baba. Sanjay Dutt was known for his flamboyant lifestyle, drug abuse and arrest for possession of illegal firearms. This biopic delves into his life and shows us the influences and decisions that ultimately led to the life he lived. Neerja (2016)

Neerja is a biopic based on the eponymous flight attendant’s life who died on the ill-fated Pan Am 73 flight. It explores Neerja Bhanot’s life as she deals with personal and professional problems while carrying on with her duties in the best way possible. She dies trying to protect the passengers of the ill-fated Pan Am 73 flight from the terrorists who had hijacked the plane. This movie bagged the title of one of the best biopic movies on Disney+ Hotstar, thanks to Sonam Kapoor’s flawless acting and the story.

Eddie the Eagle (2016)

Eddie the Eagle is a biopic based on Eddie Edwards’ life, the first British national to represent Great Britain in ski-jumping at the Olympics. This movie explores Eddie Edwards’s life as he fulfils his childhood dream of becoming an Olympian and shows the internal and external challenges he overcame. The movie did very well in the theatres and earned itself the tag of being one of the top biopic films on Disney+ Hotstar.

Into the Storm (2009)

Into the Storm takes a gander at Sir Winston Churchill’s life when he became the prime minister of Great Britain in its darkest hour. Churchill was known for his strong headedness and determination, as the movie shows. It focuses on World War 2, when the British were up against the Nazis and how Churchill stood by his country and commanded its forces to push back Nazi Germany.

Einstein and Eddington (2008)

Einstein and Eddington is a movie based on Albert Einstein and Sir Arthur Eddington’s lives and how they persuade people to change how they perceive modern science. The film explores these brilliant scientists’ lives as they go about their research on the theory of relativity. This discovery made by these two changed the course of modern science.

Hawaizaada is a biopic movie on the brilliant minds that conjured up the courage to build India’s first unmanned aeroplane.
