Vodafone rivals Jio with Rs 21 prepaid recharge, offers unlimited...

Vodafone has launched a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 21 under which its customers will be able to avail unlimited 3G/4G data for an hour. It doesn’t come with any bundled voice or SMS offers and is targeted at customers who want more data for a short amount of time. This prepaid plan is available in the telco's Delhi and NCR circle, but is also available in other circles with varying prices so the customers are advised to check before recharging.

This new recharge pack by Vodafone goes up against Jio’s Rs 19 prepaid plan, which offers 150MB 4G data, unlimited voice calls and 20SMS for a day. Users will also get unrestricted access to Jio’s suite of apps like JioTV, JioCinema and more. As it can be seen above, the Jio plan is meant for users who will be making calls and sending SMSes as well, for an entire day.

Vodafone recently launched two new prepaid plans priced at Rs 158 and Rs 151, which offer unlimited calling and come with a validity period of 28 days. Both the plans offer 1GB of 3G/4G data per day but the Rs 158 plan also comes bundled with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. These plans are valid only in Kerala for now.

The telco recently announced the launch of its VoLTE services in Haryana. Currently, select cities like Panipat, Sonipat, Yamunanagar, Ambala and Rohtak fall under Vodafone's VoLTE network and the company aims to expand coverage to other cities soon.
