WickedLeak has announced the launch of the Wammy Desire II  quad-core Android Jelly Bean tablet. A 7-inch device, the Wammy Desire II, also known as the Wammy Desire Tab 2, is being called a phablet by the company. Priced at Rs. 9,999, it is available for pre-booking from today, with deliveries starting from May 15.

The WickedLeak Wammy Desire II tablet runs on a 1.4GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, coupled with 1GB of DDR3 RAM. The 7-inch IPS display offers a native resolution of 1,280x800 pixels. Users will have an option to choose whether their Wammy Desire II will run on Android 4.0 or Android 4.2 (beta) out of the box. The beta version of Android 4.2.1 may have some bugs, and a stable version is promised to be released by June 2013. Users can install either of OS by contacting our support team at wickedleak.org anytime without affecting warranty., A further upgrade to Android 4.2.2 is also promised.

The Wammy Desire II offers 8GB of storage capacity, further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. The Wammy Desire II will support Wi-Fi connectivity, and 3G via USB dongle. It also comes with HDMI output support, built in GPS, and a 3.5mm earphone jack. It weighs a meager 298 grams and features a 3300mAh battery. The only colour option available would be white.
