Toshiba has revamped its tablet line up with the launch of three devices – the Excite Pure, Excite Pro and Excite Write. All the three tablets run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
At Computex 2013, Toshiba has added three Android tablets to their portfolio – the Excite Pure, Excite Pro and Excite Write. All three tablets have a 10-inch form factor, ports and run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Starting with the Excite Pure, the tablet is priced at $300 (Rs. 17,000 approx.) and runs last year's Tegra 3 SoC. The display has a resolution of 1280x800 with Gorilla Glass 1 protection. The tablet compromises on a rear-facing camera. It also has 16GB built-in storage expandable via a microSD card slot.
Moving on to the Excite Pro, the tablet is powered by the Tegra 4 chipset. It comes with 32GB of built-in storage expandable via a microSD card. The rear of the tablet houses an 8MP camera. The audio output from the speaker is courtesy Harman Kardon. The 10-inch display has a 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution giving it a 300-ppi. The display also has Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The Excite Pro will arrive in July with a price tag of $500 (Rs. 28,300 approx.).
Lat but not least we have the Excite Write. As the name suggests, the device comes with a pen. It has a Wacom digitizer that supports 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity. Toshiba is preloading the tablet with TruNote and TruCapture apps, which will help with note taking. For its specifications, the Excite Write runs on the Tegra 4 chipset, has 32GB of built-in storage expandable via a micro SD card and an 8MP rear facing camera. The 10.1-inch display has a 2560x1600 pixel resolution. The tablet will be available from next month for a price tag of $600 (Rs. 34,000).
