Rumors about Apple's next iPad have been making the rounds for a while. Now, a Japanese Magazine has published details of the next gen device dubbed as the iPad Air Plus. The device will have a 12.2-inch display and is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2015.
Earlier this year rumors had surfaced about Apple working on a bigger iPad with a 12.9-inch display, however Japanese Magazine Mac Fan claims that the new iPad will feature a 12.2-inch LCD display and will be powered by the latest A9 processor. It will have dimensions of 12 inches x 8.7 inches x 0.28 inches. The device will come with dual top and bottom speakers for improved stereo audio. The iPad Pro may look similar to the existing iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini, reports Mac Fan.
The report also says that Apple may launch the IPad Mini 4, which has an A8X processor and a thinner design similar to Apple's latest iPad Air. It is expected that Apple may discontinue the iPad Mini and the iPad Mini 3 after the launch of the iPad Mini 4. Mac Fan says that both of these tablets may launch between April and June of 2015. According to reports Apple had delayed the mass production of the larger iPad from December to the next year due to high demand for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Last month, Apple had launched the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 in India starting from Rs 35,900 and Rs 28,900 respectively. Both the device are available on ecommerce retailers as well as Apple's authorized stores. Read: Apple watch to be released in India in Feb 2015: Report
