Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 510 P5100 is now available online in India, via Snapdeal. Running on Android 4.0.3 ICS, the Galaxy Tab 2 510 has been priced at Rs. 37,350, but is retailing for Rs. 32,990, with Snapdeal giving a 12% discount on the listed price.
The Galaxy Tab 2 510 features a dual-core 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, coupled with a PowerVR SGX540 GPU, and 1GB of RAM, on the TI OMAP 4430 chipset. It features a 10.1-inch 1280x800 pixel display, a 3MP rear camera capable of 720p HD video recording, a 0.3MP front camera, 16GB of built-in storage (expandable with 32GB microSD card) and a massive 7,000 mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 10 hours of backup, and 2000 hours of standby time.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Tab 2 510 features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 3G (HSDPA 21Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps), GPRS/EDGE, microUSB, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, TV-out, and no radio.
Other features of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 510 include dual speakers, Corning Gorilla Glass display, preloaded document editor and Samsung ChatOn messenger, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a digital compass.
The Galaxy Tab 2 510 weighs in at 588 grams, and has an average thickness of 9.7mm. It will be available in white, and titanium silver colours, and will ship in 5 business days. For now, Samsung has not officially launched the tablet (also known as the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100) in India – stay tuned for that update.
