Samsung has introduced a new gaming monitor among its various launches at CES 2015. The S34E790C is the monitor in question, let’s take a look at what it brings to the table.
The new monitor from Samsung has a 3000R curvature and an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio, which delivers a wider viewing experience and gives you a sense of immersion.
Samsung has used an LED panel on the monitor with WQHD resolution and if we run the numbers then it comes out to be 3440 x 1440 pixels. It offers a 178 degree wide viewing angle for a good viewing experience.
Since it is an ultra-wide display the monitor lets you manage video input from two sources on one screen. The monitor also features a picture in picture mode, something we saw in select Galaxy smartphones from Samsung.
Design and Build
The monitor has a premium design as the monitor has a metallic frame and a metallic height adjustable stand with a beautiful T design. It also supports a standard wall mount and has two seven watt speakers inbuilt.
On the connectivity front the monitor has the following ports at the back:
1 x Displayport
2 x HDMI
1 x Headphone jack
1 x USB (Type B)
4 x USB 3.0
