It's difficult to find good looking cases at a low price-point in the market and the few ones that are available, don't provide enough features as compared to the GX900. The build quality that this case offers, along with the features, coupled with a justifiable selling price, make it an interesting option to consider for a mid to low range gaming build.
Cases with that same old brushed metal or plain black look have been done to the death. This is why when we see something like the GX900 from Antec, with its military look, it generates a bit of enthusiasm. It isn’t as if we’ve never seen cases with a military theme before, but a new addition is refreshing. For starters, the GX900 features a camo green plate at the front with aesthetically placed screws holding it. Moving to the top, you’ll find a bright red power button alongside the inbuilt fan controller and USB ports.
The power and reset buttons on the Antec are certainly a departure (in a good way) from the little spring loaded push-to-on buttons we’ve seen on cabinets lately. The side panels have handles at the back which protrude outwards to add to the case design and also provide extra room for cable routing behind the camo green motherboard tray. The tray has an adequate number of cable routing holes. The use of thumb screws on the drive cage panels for switching support from 3.5-inch to 2.5-inch drives helps. The GX900 maintained its cool at 33.5°C internally at full load and with room for extra fans at the rear and bottom, you get more cooling options. At the price, the GX900 is a great option to consider if you’re building a low to mid-range gaming rig with the right look.
