Note-9 Camera & facility is generally good. Amazon delivery too excellent. Note facility is less user friendly when compared to Note-5. If not desirous of NOTE facility, better phones are available at this rate. Bought during Great Indian sale during Oct-2019, using Amazon-ICICI card with additional assured cashback of Rs. 1500- by Jan-2020. Till today not remitted to my Ac . Being a Prime Member this is my experience !!. More than 6 times called Amazon Call center !!. All Exec agrees I am eligible for cash back but not answering why it is not credited to my AC. And every exec borrows time like will be solved within '3733 working days' depending upon their convenience and repeat only one manthra ' we are escalating etc.'. So pl don't get carried away by such future offers from any e-tailer. This is the lesson taught by Amazon.
I have been Samsung fan for really long time and I really appreciate the efforts Samsung puts into its design. From S2 to S10 the way the product has improved is tremendous. But the thing is now a days market is really saturated and some of the other manufacturers have started selling a better product. I bought two phones at same time one plus 7 and this note 9. Frankly speaking look wise both are almost on same level but since I prefer square design I love the way Note looks. The square just feels right... But holding this phone in one hand doesn't really feel comfortable and you're scared that it might slip off. So a case is must and no can't chat while holding one hand local train handle and one on phone. Camera: frankly speaking I am disappointed alot when it comes to camera my lg v30 took better pictures with its back camera. Front camera is no less crappier. Battery life of Samsung device has always been a issue and note 9 is no stranger to it. You hardly last a full day and need to charge as soon as you reach home or sometime it dies even before you reach home and I'm almost out for 13 hours a day. Speed of phone is good and I have not notice any lag as such. Touch works nice. Bixby is headache. S Pen is why I bought this phone. Overall only buy if you're looking for Samsung phone or you want to have a note pad.
Bought in May 2019 for 55K and it's mid January 2020. Please do hit helpful if it was. At May 2k19 I had 4 options under 60K : Note 9, Oneplus7 pro and s10 and Iphone X. Oneplus7pro: No earphone jack, limited storage, raising camera which i will break or damage eventually for sure and finally the name itself because I hate maths since I was kid although it's awesome by it's features but nah its just we have trust issues. IPHONE X: I personally don't like Iphone because I don't want to buy phones just for cute covers. Also I hate X because it reminds me of.. Nevermind. S10. I want clear screen not even a single dust on screen so how can I go with the phone which has a punch hole at upper right side of screen. That was the only reason. Note 9: Just fine. I bought this because of: Bluetooth spen, bigger display, looks, headphone Jack, bigger battery, my previous experience with Samsung phones. So its been 7-8 months I have been using this phone and here are things I liked: Gorgeous looks without cover Spen and it's useful features Awesome Display AKG stereo speakers Never had any issues with any apps or games Long phone which I personally like but never had issues to use it. Thanks to one hand mode. Now the things i don't like: BATTERY BACKUP: It really provided me 7..8 hours of battery backup regular use not stand by but eventually it reduced by 5..6 hours.. 4 with gaming again regular use. Standby time is okay last for 36 hours music and all that. Camera: Camera glares at night. That's the only issue.
The box came unsealed, the qr code reader wasnt scanning a couple of accessories, although the safety seal itself was intact but the contents inside the box obviously seemed like they were tampered with.. dented... scuffed... maybe the seller got those re-seals..yes they are available out there the phone itself hasn't given me any problems yet.. I have and always will be a note series user. 3 weeks after getting it, there is a popping sound whenever I press the screen near the power button... the lack of quality control.. or amazon just gave me a defective peice I dont know... iam never buying a cellphone online from now on. It's such a shame really... i have always been a fan of the note series and today I experience this... ant that too the largest e commerce giant in the world.
This product seems to be having issues, I am getting only 3.5 hrs of on screen time and barely a day with low usage. Also, it seems that Samsung has not learnt anything while they came up with so called "One UI" , it still is a carppy overlay which does not live up to anything new that android offers except for partly adapted "Glide" gestures for home screen Samsung does not offer multi-user support anymore !! why !! neither does it allow usage of different sims in Secure folder if that is an alternative for multi user. Plus, I cannot have more than one secure folders while i can always have more than 2 users in the OOTBstock Android! The messaging app is also having a bad UI for dual sim user, you will end up sending messages from one sim to another due to bad placement of buttons. So I switched to Truecaller messaging app since I already had it in my phone. The dialer UI again is "wanna be alple" types now! Where now one has to go to 3 different tabsrecent, keypad, contacts to do overlapping stuff sans the slight advantage that a unified interface can give with an option to switch between Keypad and keyboard. The delete history in the dialer is hidden feature, here again true caller came much handy for me. I compared the battery life with OnePlus 7T, which supposedly has worst battery life in one plus latest series. Guess what! my phone is giving lesser battery life! I did a reset of my phone, tried with one sim only plus only 6 new appstrue caller, 3 banking apps, WhatsApp etc. apart from default ones. I disabled the Facebook app as well. I now got only 4 hours of screen time! Wow! My S10 is giving a far better battery life than this one. I would recommend a OnePlus or a Nokia for the UI, One plusApple again for the hardware, Apple Nokia Only the ones with Zeiss optics for its camera and Note 9 Apple for its sound quality of speakers not headsets. For headsets, I am using a Jabra Elite 65t, which sounds better on my iPhone instead of Note 9 S10. The only BIG advantage I see is the "S" PEN which it's undoubtedly a magnificent add-on to this device. But ONLY if you get enough battery life to play with it! Conclusion: You can always buy other products in the market like OnePlus, if you are not keen to use S Pen as samsung nowadays only provides slightly better experience than most others whether Software or Hardware. There is always some other phone maker who can give you better than what samsung provides. UPDATE AFTER 4 MONTHS With already low battery performance, now suddenly the fingerprint has stopped working. When i updated my phone software for it, now my phone is on a loop to bootscreen and not entering home. I have been wondering lately if samsung, like many other cheap players, has been selling faultyrefurbished devices as new via online channels we know, Note 9 is a bit of an older model, a price customer pays after discount? BUY CAUTIOUSLY PLEASE! Please note: my S10 is working absolutely ok and was bought in August.Store purchase The issues are Only with Note 9 bought via Amazon. FURTHER UPDATE AFTER VISITING SERVICE CENTER FOR FINGERPRINT It is strange that samsung is so good at avoiding its customers during service lifecycles.... When I call the customer care number displayed all over the SERVICE CENTER 1800 40 SAMSUNG, I understand that it is not a valid number. It seems that they do not want me to reach them. Anyways, Service center kept me waiting for around 1.5 hrs after having the phone and told me that it will take 2 hours more coz they want to test it completely. After my asking a bit more, they accepted they di not have any inventory. Now I have to wait for 34 more days for replacement as they will keep my phone with them. Thanks again for a bad Samsung experience!
If you are looking for a budget phone, buy this last year flagship and you won't be disappointed.. Pros: 1. A screen that is gorgeous 2. Stylus makes a regular notebook useless 3. Dex mode converts this phone into a desktop 4. Samsung Pay elimiates the need for you to carry a physical debit or credit card as it works with every card machine 5. Comes with a transparent case 6. Comes with a USB C to regular USB connector Cons: 1. Fast charging not as fast as the current standards Full charge in 2 hrs 2. 4000 mAh not sufficient for such a good screen - almost covers a day 3. Face unlock with IRIS scanner is slow 4. Fingerprint scanner is okay not great
ANYONE WHO IS IN THE VERGE OF BUYING SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 9, PLEASE THINK IF U REALLY NEED TO BUY THIS ONE THAN FOR GOING FOR ANY OTHER PHONES IN THE MARKET. I HAVE BEEN USING ONE PLUS SINCE THE TIME IT CAME IN MARKET. JUST THOUGHT OF A CHANGE TO BUY SAMSUNG NOTE 9, AND I TERRIBLY STUCK WITH THE PHONE WITH OVERHEATING ISSUES, CC NOT TAKING IMMEDIATE ACTION, TECHNICAL TEAM VERY IRRESPONSIBLE TAKING YOUR TIME AND MONEY FOR GRANTED.
This phone is the pinnacle of Samsung's innovation. The Note 10, while sporting a better camera, pulls back in terms of biometrics no iris scanner, the newer ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is not there yet, uninterrupted screen has a punch hole camera. The Note 9 is a no compromise phone. This is also the last Note to sport a headphone jack. The last Note with a fingerprint scanner on the rear which I feel is the ideal location. The last Note with the Heart Rate + SpO2 sensor. I could go on, but I think you get the idea :
Pros : 1. The Exynos 9810 is a substantial improvement over Exynos 8995 in the last years Note 8. 2. Performance is smooth. 3. Call quality in is excellent. Galaxy Note 9 supports Dual SIM Dual VoLTE. 4. Dolby Atmos is superb it gives excellent sound quality 5. One of the best displays in the market. 6. Excellent battery life 7. Stylus S -PEN has now got remote can do good job such a taking selfie 8. 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers, and microSD slot Cons 1. Iris scanner and Face Unlock still aren’t as fast or convenient as we’d want them to be. Fingerprint sensor works fine. 2. Galaxy note 9 has similar design as Note 8. 3. Lagging user interface
Got this beast phone on 40k price during Diwali sales. Till date no issues. On time delivery & safe packing. I am an artist & for me it's S-Pen is the key feature . I extensively tested it & found it to be a Pro level pen to work on. All other features of the mobile are still very up to the mark even after one year of its launch. I would recommend it hands down.
