The Moto E (2nd Gen) is definitely not a bad smartphone, but it makes no sense in the current market. The newer hardware on the Redmi 2 and Lenovo A6000 are both more powerful and already have 4G compatibility. The Moto E just doesn't provide the value that they do.Read Full Review

I think this review would be useful for those who want to go with this phone. I bought moto e2 on 1st day itself. Before that i used lumia 510. I am giving review after using a month(almost). Pros 1. Batter life superb.( without net I use a week) 2. Primary cam have auto focus, you can take pictures perfectly 3. It's lollipop 4. Touch is very good 5. Nice gaming experience 6. Speaker sound loud & clarity 7. Fast processor 8. Amount 9. Brand (Now) 10. Never hangs Cons 1. Sometimes heating up 2. Take long time for charging 3. If you forgot to unplug earphone, won't be getting ring when a call comes 4. Unnecessary using RAM without using phone.(leads to slow) 5. Secondary camera not good, but we can't expect more 6. Some of applications stopping in the middle, showing "Unfortunately stopped" All over i have satisfaction with this price.
I got my first moto e 2nd gen phone on 17 mar. I was happy. I liked it. I used it for playing games. after 4 days, when I woke up, I found the battery drained out and tried charging but could not. the seller happily replaced the set. Again, I did not use the phone for telephony purposes and just played games. after playing when battery was 0%, I put phone on charge, it got to 100% in POWER OFF mode in 4 hours. so here my trouble started. I am in touch with flipkart team to have resolution. I cannot wait for 4 hours for phone to recharge especially in power off mode. I wonder if other buyers are facing similar issues.
My mistake.. i never read that this phone did not have a flash... Found out after ordering... how do they re-build a phone with a camera and not give it a flash...
Reasons, i bought this phone- 1-The display glass is more smoother & tougher than lenovoA6000 & redmi2 2-Games like asphault 8 runs like as if i m playing it on iphone5,means most of the high end games runs smooth. 3-Lolipop!!
I buy moto e 2nd Gen, in using 10 mins only it heating from front and back. I was expecting good performance of this phone, uniformity it doest full fill my expected. I made return request, still now i didnt receive any call or mail regards the same,
I got this phone through flipkart day before yesterday.. so far its awesome I have used Moto g (1st gen)( its was stolen :( ).. and was totally impressed by it so decided to go for Moto again although Moto E gen2 is 5k cheaper than Moto G but in terms of quality and usage I did not find much difference -Android Lolipop is simply amazing user exp is so so good -battery is staying for 10 to 12 hrs with internet usage. I have installed like every app possible :P (28 apps )but its not getting slow.. I am Loving it Only drawback is camera quality but then again for 7k we can not expect more...
First of All thanks to flipkart delivery was good..... Just now received the handset looking awsome very light weight. Best Features Super Display 4.5 and Touch was good upgraded with lollipop 1 GB Ram 5 MP Camera Secondary Camera 0.3 was clear Superb finishing internal memory was 8gb Overall a Brilliant phone at this price! Go ahead and purchase this amazing device and I'm sure you wont regret it Regards Ranga
it is not a 4G set.no LED flash. everything is good..Moto e 2nd 3G is just awesome, but u shouldn't be in hurry to buy this phone because moto e 2nd gen 4G has is going to launch., just wait and u shall get better package of specs in reasonable price U should go for moto e 2nd gen 4G.
I was waiting for this phone for 10days before it released. Because we all are aware with the moto e 1st gen. And also with the other models, all the models has their different plus point to each other. Finally I have received my new moto e 2nd gen. As usual Flipkart always rock. Within 2days they delivered the product. Truly friend the phone looks awsm. It never looks like low budget phone. It looks like junior nexus. The phone gripe is very good, for the manufacture material. And the side gripe and also for the design of the phone. Very slim and mat finish. 1. Let’s talk about the hardware part. Before I brought this phone I saw many review, many video and many compare sum. May be at the same price you would get better configuration phone like Lenovo A6000, Xiaomi etc. but very honest boss a brand talk. The thing is not that you got best features in very low budget, thing is that you should get decent & enough configuration, and the phone should run as it is for long long time. That capability moto has dear. 2. Now talk about the screen, resolution is very clear. And small thing also readable. It has gorilla glass3 but I am using a protector but I have decided to remove. The lovely thing is that whenever you will touch the phone, without press or touch the screen the time and the notification will arrive on your middle of the screen, and will disappear automatically. 3. Let’s come with the battery backup. That is the main thing with all smart phones. But moto has 2390 mAh battery that gives good backup. Yesterday I have received the phone with 58% battery, & I have used the phone, like played games and used internet, other things etc. still phone was alive end of the day. 4. The lollipop looks awsm to use. Very fast and having lots of added features like voice detector. You can navigate any location, send email, search anything from google only by use your voice. 5. Sound quality is good, and video quality also good. overall everything up to the mark. 6. Network quality good, internet working truly massive. I have recharged for 2G pack but it gives Hybrid internet speed. 7. Now come down at the camera part, we cannot say it’s a worst camera. But quality is good at the normal day light. but we use it at low light like in bed room picture comes like not so clear, but you can use focus manually that helps you. Front camera is not for selfy starts, it’s for video call. We cannot say flash should be there, because before we brought the phone we were aware with the features. & I’m not a photographer but still I have a digital camera so I really don’t need that much camera.so I am satisfied. I would like to say that you can go for other phones like Lenovo or micromax or xiaomi etc. but thing is style, size, performance and brand. And friend one thing is durability. That moto has. I will recommend to the viewer you can go for this product you won’t feel bad for this phone. It will always make you special in your friend cercal. If I have able to convinced any one to buy this product.I will feel glad.
Hey Guys, Have been using the phone for 2 days, I also have a Yureka & a Canvas A1 as well. These are my experiences so far and they're susceptible to change. Any questions can be asked in the Youtube Channel - Nitty Gritty Reviews Build Feels great in the hand, the smaller size & curved back definitely makes for great one-handed usage. Not a big fan of the thin port covers, while it ads to the nice design, it feels too flimsy and susceptible to easily breaking off. The buttons are a bit stiff, which i personally liked as they didn't get pressed easily in the pocket or while watching videos. Aside from that no major gripes so far, Very good build quality. Display The display isn't great any any means, It has a yellow-ish/brown-ish thinge throughout and the brightness is average. The Yureka has a much better display and the Android One has better colors, even if not the higher PPI. The display isn't unsuable but is a step down from most offerings from the competition. UI & Usability Phone is amazingly smooth and Loliipop is a treat to use. Moto E's biggest advantage has to be the lack of bloat and the clean skin they've adopted. So far everything has been running great and I don't have any complaints. If anything... Very happy with Moto's decision to stick with plain android. The added features like active notifications is very nice indeed. Battery Life :- Still too early to tell but so far i've been pretty impressed, The phone is doing a good job and should last a day of normal use easily. Will update this portion as time goes on. Camera Very disappointed in the Camera performance. While it definitely gets the job done, Comparing the Moto E to the Yureka & the Canvas A1, I found it to be the poorest performer of the 3 in most scenarios. You can check the Channel for more details & uncompressed hotos have been uploaded as well. The poor front Cam & lack of flash adds to the already very poor performance. Speaker The speaker has to be one of the best i've heard in a budget phone, the Front facing speaker makes watching videos very enjoyable. Definitely preferred the experience offered by the Moto E over the Yureka & the Canvas A1 Call Quality :- Will go deeper into this once i've had more time with it... The signal reception seems to better than that of the Yureka and a tad better than the Canvas A1 as well. But its still too early to tell. These are preliminary reviews and il keep updating them in time, Meanwhile any questions can be asked in our Youtube Channel.
