Toshiba Satellite C850-P5011

Pros: 1. Fits in your budget. 2. Best of features. 3. Upgradable ram. 4. Rough texture touchpad which is not a outstanding feature but feels unique. 5. Build quality, simplicity. Cons: 1. Not so fancy looks wise. 2. Hardwired graphics card.(not upgradable) 3. Maximum volume is a bit low specially on youtube when the videos have relatively low sound. 4. No OS provided( but actually it turned out a boon for me coz now I can partition and install xp,win7/8, linux or dual boot) 5. Drivers not provided, you've to download them from driver.toshiba-india.com. Processor is pentium dual-core but tests I did vs Dell i3 processor laptop using 3d graphics suite shows surprising results as the former outperformed the later. Dell i3 hanged a few times but toshiba pentium dual core worked without a hitch. I don't know how but this happened.

Review of Toshiba....."still admiring the look :)" i ordered this laptop on 27th Feb and i dint know why but i received it on 11th of march so about delivery .....Can't SAY ANYTHING ITS UR LUCK Looks---- i was surprised ....it looks really good nothing like this Photo Flipkart has on it site.. and also very slim too so dnt wry EVERYONE will like it... I also don't know why but the product seal was half open so be careful....due to delayed delivery i ignored it... Performance--- well its a dual core machine so i was not expecting much but its giving a really good show....i mean Works great with windows 8 + Red hat so no issues about working ...can be slow with VMWARE so u need to upgrade the RAM for that and not so good with high Gaming... games till NFS pro-street will Works fine on this peice.... Intel Graphics present memory 798 MB so its good DVD drive is not good noisy and have to press the button hard...display, brightness is good.. no use of USB 3.0 Toshiba drivers don't support it...also works fine with Face Recognition ....no seprate buttons... speakers are fine ....cam quality is not good works fine after settings and lots of roomlight ... Battery Backup is actually good 4.30 hrs with brightness and wireless Conn. ....... now about main thing UNEDUCATED CUSTOMER CARE OF TOSHIBA IS NOT GOING TO HELP U u have to install the drivers yourself from Toshiba site and rember to install all the INTEL ones and REALTECK , ATHEROS for the LAN and WIFI.... all in all its a good purchase and i am happy with it so i think u should go for this one if u r looking for a budgeted buy....

Some thing OK.....Cannot expect too much but for normal users this will be a good machine..Should always handle with care and not suitable for rough use..Being a light user i am ok with it..but gaming is always a stain..Multitasking is ok with this machine..

Very good product in this range. Very powerful processor beautiful looks good sound But dont rely on toshiba Driver cd or site instead download intel drivers from intel site to save your monthly data . good quality product. Can play Games like NFS Undercover sleeping dogss GTA IV Prince of persia very smoothly...

I bought this laptop for conversing with my parents using skype. This is a very good laptop for basic browsing and video chatting. For those who are looking for an economical and reliable product, go for it.

I had toshiba laptop earlier, which i purchased last year from flipkart only, but i wanted an upgrade with hdmi port and good webcam and sound quality , this is the show stopper. I am a tech savvy guy , and i wonder how some people have give just average feedback to this stunning product from toshiba, pros:- 1.) Best price in the category , this product is true value for money product, in 21900 rs, i think there is no other laptop around with so many features. 2.) glossy look, compare to another model which really looks cool. 3.) the best feature for me personally was that the fan of the laptop is now at the right side and the dvd drive at the left side, which is more comfortable , when you want to work in bed with laptop on your lap. 4.) there are no heating issues, compare to previous models. 5.) new improved H.D camera is a add on (only in this model) in previous model camera was very dull, but this camera is acceptable. 6.) one usb 3.0(blue color) and two extra usb and hdmi port is one more addon to this model. 7.) I have both the laptops with me right now, and this one looks absolutely slim compared to other model , cons. 1.) no carry bag with the model .however i never need a one 2.) 2 g.b ram can be upgraded easily in less than 500 bucks. 3.) drivers are available on Toshiba India website, but they are in abundance, and you have to do little homework to get your machine up. that's it(hope this feedback help many ) final verdict if you are looking for a value for money product go for , it, I have been using Toshiba for a year and now i have ordered same brand just because of its reliability and durability.

best laptop in this category,cam, audio clarity are good. numeric keypad is another advantage,500 hard disk,usb bluetooth are good. but i heard the complaint on the machine is only about its keyboard
