AMD has announced the Ryzen 7 2700U and the Ryzen 5 2500U processors for laptops. Both the processors sport 6MB L2/L3 cache and feature a 15W processor TDP.

AMD has today announced its first Ryzen mobile processors, the Ryzen 7 2700U and the Ryzen 5 2500U. Both are quad-core processors with eight-threads and integrated Radeon Vega Graphics. The company claims that the Ryzen 7 2700U processor delivers up to 44 percent more multi-threaded CPU performance and up to 161 percent higher graphics performance than its competition.

AMD today announced the introduction of the AMD Ryzen mobile processor, previously codenamed the “Raven Ridge” mobile APU, providing leadership performance and a complete entertainment experience with optimal efficiency for premium 2-in-1s, convertibles and ultrathin notebook computers. With a configurable 15-watt TDP, the AMD Ryzen7 2700U and AMD Ryzen5 2500U processors combine the architecture of award-winning “Zen” x86 cores–featuring AMD SenseMI Technology processor-level intelligence–with revolutionary Radeon “Vega” graphics in a System-on-Chip design to achieve unprecedented ultrathin notebook performance. In the coming weeks, initial systems powered by Ryzenmobile processors are slated to be available from top manufacturers including Acer, HP and Lenovo, with further platform updates expected from Dell, Asus and other OEMs in early 2018.
