The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 is an enthusiast desktop graphics card made for gamers with hardware-accelerated ray-tracing support and is built on the NVIDIA Ampere microarchitecture. It is most likely going to be based on the 7nm TSMC process and the GPU at the heart of the RTX 3070 will be the GA104-300-A1 variant of the GA104 GPU. The die area of the GA104 GPU is 450 mm2 and the GPU houses over 30,000 million transistors. The core configuration of the GA104 is as follows:
CUDA Cores: 3072
Tensor Cores: 384
Ray-tracing Cores: 96
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 will be using 8 GB of GDDR6 memory connected via a 256-bit memory interface. The Founders Edition NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 will have a base clock of 1410 MHz and a Boost clock of 1695 MHz. Memory clock for the 8 GB VRAM will be 2000 MHz. This gives the card a maximum theoretical bandwidth of 512 GB/s.
The Founders Edition NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 is a double-slot graphics card and uses an 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Total power consumption would be about 220W.
The expected launch price for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 is about USD 600 and that translates to an Indian price of about INR 52000 once local Indian taxes are accounted for.
