Flipkart had forayed into the tablet segment with Digiflip Pro series of tablets earlier this year. The first tablet under Digiflip Pro series was the XT 712, featuring 7-inch display, quad-core processor and dual-SIM connectivity.

Flipkart is apparently trying to mimic Amazon in India with house products. The first Flipkart tablet didn't create a lot of buzz though. Now, the e-commerce giant seems to be targeting all possible price range in the budget tablet segment with better specifications.
