Corsair has introduced three new solid state drive models in India, in the Force Series 3 family. The family offers SATA 3 support (6Gb/s), at a price that rivals many SATA 2 SSDs in the market. Featuring the fastest and latest controller, the SandForce SF-2281 SSD processor, the Force Series 3 family promises write speeds up to 520MB/s, and read speeds up to 550MB/s.

[RELATED_ARTICLE]The three models are 60GB, 120GB, and 240GB. For now, only the 120GB and 240GB models have been launched, priced at Rs. 13,500 and Rs. 29,500 respectively, with the 60GB expected soon. The Force Series 3 family, coupled with SandForce SF-2281 controller, offers 85000K IOPS (input/output operations per second).

The Force Series 3 family are 2.5-inch SSDs, and come with a 3.5-inch adapter so that it can be used on both laptops and desktops. The Force Series 3 SSDs are also backward compatible with SATA 2. They come with 3 years limited warranty.
