  • OnePlus' next OxygenOS update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will bring extensive list of new features including redesigned launcher settings and improved touch latency

OnePlus has released a new OxygenOS Open Beta for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T that brings tons of new changes including a new launcher. The open beta is the thirteenth iteration for OnePlus 3 while the OnePlus 3T open beta is the fourth iteration.

The open beta brings new launcher along with support for Android 7.1.1 shortcuts and a redesigned app drawer. Other notable improvements include redesigned launcher settings interface and addition of status bar icon for real time network speed. OnePlus says it has added notification denoising, gaming do not disturb mode, night mode and secure box for file encryption. The update also optimises touch latency and EIS for video recording. OnePlus has also tweaked the contacts management with 'linking and merge functions' and now supports quick pay option in India. With Quick Pay, OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T users can quickly pay using Paytm by long pressing the home button. The update, of course, brings general bug fixes and other basic improvements.

OnePlus recently started rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based OxygenOS 4.1 update for OnePlus 3 and 3T users. With the new open beta build, the company is giving a sneak peek into what's coming with future update. OnePlus, which started as a hardware startup is slowly mastering the art of speedy Android software updates, which has been a big point for most Android users.
