Apple has released its new iOS 8 beta 3 update (build number 12A4318c) to developers for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The update is available through Apple's over-the-air updating system on iOS devices and can be downloaded via the iOS Dev Center.

iOS 8 beta 3 adds new features as well as improved integration with OS X through Continuity. Integration between iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite allows users to make and receive calls if they are on the same WiFi network. It also brings Family Sharing feature that allows up to 6 members to share apps, pictures, music, etc. A new Health app collects data from various fitness and health apps. The iOS 8 Beta 3 update brings interactive notifications that allows users to reply to mails, messages and reminders from the notifications banner itself. The update also brings improvements to several apps like Mail, Messages and Safari.

The third iOS 8 beta makes several tweaks to the operating system and adds new options for iCloud Drive, an option to enable or disable QuickType and a new Settings toggle for Handoff. Some changes have also been made to the weather app and Apple has added some new wallpapers as well.

This is Apple's third release of beta iOS 8 for developers. Apple had unveiled the new iOS 8 at the Worldwide Developers Conference and rolled out the second beta update three weeks back. iOS 8 is currently only available to developers, and is expected to be released globally in the fall. According to reports, iOS 8 will likely be launched alongside new iPhones, and the much-rumored Apple iWatch. According to rumors, Apple is planning to launch its iPhone 6 as well as a 5.5 inch phablet called the iPhone Air on Sept 25.
