ViewSonic to show off 3D camcorder, camera, photo-frame, and handheld TV at IFA 2010

ViewSonic, the established manufacturer of computer displays, is apparently entering the 3D market with all guns blazing, and will be showcasing a 720p HD 3D camcorder with a 3D display, a 3D handheld TV, 3D photo-frame, and a 3D still camera at the IFA 2010 event, which lasts from September 1st to the 7th. Presumably, the 3D displays on these products will all be autostereoscopic (not requiring 3D-glasses), similar to the Fujifilm Real 3D W3 digital camera’s display. The company already offers a range of 3D monitors and televisions.

A spokesperson from ViewSonic commented on the company’s plans for 3D: “We believe by making 3D simple to use, whilst providing a complete solution, we can introduce 3D technology to consumers who were hesitant about new technology or concerned about the cost.”

In non-3D news, ViewSonic will also be showing off a 7-inch Android tablet at the event, called the ViewPad 7, as well as a yet unnamed 10-inch dual-boot (Windows and Android) tablet. The ViewPad 7 will support both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, front and back-facing cameras, A-GPS, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, G-Sensor and USB connectivity. ViewSonic will also be showcasing its all-in-one PC, the VPC220; the HD-media streamer, VMP74; and a touchscreen e-reader, the VEB625.

With ViewSonic’s legendary high performance for low price offerings, we can be sure to expect some great value for money, if not leader-beating quality in its brand new line-up products.
