Samsung has long been rumoured to be developing its tri-fold smartphone called the Galaxy Z TriFold. Previously, the links suggested that the device would be available in select markets, including South Korea and China, but the new leaks hint that the device could make a global
rollout, including markets such as the UAE, the United States, and other markets.
However, the details about the India launch remain under wraps at the moment. If the reports are believed to be true, the device is unlikely to launch in India anytime soon. Here’s everything that we know about the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, including specs, price, and more.
The phone is said to feature a massive 10-inch OLED display that folds in three sections, offering both portability and tablet-like functionality. Recent patent filings hint at a triple-battery design to efficiently power the expansive screen, while the camera system may include a 200MP primary lens, an ultrawide sensor, and a telephoto camera with up to 100x digital zoom, similar to the Galaxy S Ultra lineup.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB or more of storage. It will reportedly include a 6.5-inch cover display, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging support. The device is likely to launch with Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box, with Samsung committing to seven major Android OS updates, matching its latest long-term update policy.
As per the reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold could be priced at around $3,000 (roughly Rs 2,64,000). If true, this will be the most expensive foldable device by Samsung so far.
