While Samsung hasn’t confirmed the official launch date yet, industry buzz suggests we might get our first look on October 31, possibly during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. Ahead of the official debut, multiple leaks have surfaced online, hinting at an impressive design, flagship-grade specs, and a tablet-sized display experience. According to reports, Samsung could tease the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold during APEC 2025, taking place between October 31 and November 1. While the teaser may offer an early glimpse, the official launch is expected to follow soon after, possibly before the end of 2025. Initially, the device will reportedly launch in select regions, including South Korea, China, and the US, with a gradual rollout to other markets in 2026.

The Galaxy Z Tri-Fold is expected to come with dual hinges, allowing it to fold inwards into three sections, a design inspired by Samsung’s earlier Flex In & Out prototypes. When fully opened, users can expect a massive 10-inch AMOLED display, offering a tablet-like viewing experience for multitasking, media, and gaming.
A 6.5-inch external display is also said to be part of the setup, ensuring usability even when folded. Both panels are tipped to feature a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

Under the hood, the tri-fold is rumoured to pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, the same processor powering the Galaxy S25 series. The phone may come with up to 16GB of RAM for seamless multitasking.
The device is expected to pack a triple rear camera setup, reportedly featuring a 200MP primary sensor, alongside ultrawide and telephoto lenses. The tri-fold is also said to offer up to 100x digital zoom.
