Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
Samsung’s next big flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G, has been making headlines months ahead of its official launch. The handset is rumoured to come with a redesigned camera module and other significant changes. The images, reportedly from a case maker, show an oval-shaped camera island instead of the individual floating lenses seen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Given that, accessory manufacturers often get device schematics early, these renders are expected to be fairly reliable.
Additionally, previous leaks also suggest that the camera bump on the S26 Ultra may be nearly twice as thick as that of its predecessor. While there are no concrete details, the handset is reported to be slimmer than its predecessor or might come with a wider aperture. Further, some reports also claim that the upcoming phone may retain its 5x telephoto zoom lens, but might get a downgrade on the secondary telephoto camera.
Here’s what we know about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra so far.
In terms of hardware, it could be powered by the 3nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, paired with an upgraded vapour cooling chamber for sustained performance. Powering it all could be a 5,000mAh battery with support for 60W fast charging, a notable step up from its predecessor.
On the design front, Samsung might be taking inspiration from the Galaxy Z Fold 7 by introducing a pill-shaped camera island, moving away from the floating lens setup we’ve seen in recent Ultra models.
If Samsung follows its usual trend, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G could arrive in January 2026 alongside the other two members of the lineup. This time, the brand is also being tipped to replace the standard Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus with a new Galaxy S26 Pro and a Galaxy S26 Edge. However, none of these details is officially confirmed.
