Samsung is gearing up to launch its next budget 5G smartphone in India – the Galaxy M17 5G, this week. The company has officially teased the device, revealing its design, colour options, and key specifications via a landing page on Amazon. The upcoming handset is expected to succeed the Galaxy M16 5G, which launched earlier this year. It could debut in the sub-Rs 15000 segment. The device is teased to come with an AMOLED display and a triple rear camera setup.

The Samsung Galaxy M17 5G is confirmed to launch in India on October 10. It will be available in two colours – Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black. A dedicated microsite has already been made live on Amazon’s as well as Samsung’s official websites, giving users a sneak peek at the smartphone’s design and key features.
Samsung Galaxy M17 5G will sport a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phone also supports an IP54 rating, meaning it’s protected against dust and minor water splashes.
In terms of optics, the phone will feature a 50MP triple rear camera setup with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it will house a 13MP front camera that handles selfies and video calls. Samsung has also added AI-powered photography tools, including advanced scene detection and optimisation.
The Galaxy M17 5G will feature a slim 7.5mm profile and integrate smart AI features, including Circle to Search with Google and Gemini Live.
While Samsung hasn’t revealed the price yet, the Galaxy M17 5G is expected to debut in the under-Rs 15,000 segment, much like its predecessor, the Galaxy M16 5G, which launched at Rs 11,499.
