As expected , the update brings with it a bunch of new changes and features such as a new Gaming Mode, Do Not Disturb Mode, camera and more. The company notes that the update will initially be available to a small percentage of users, and will begin a broader rollout in a few days.

The changelog for the update includes the new Android 9 Pie UI, while there are new navigation gestures exclusive for OnePlus 5T users. OnePlus has also asked users to report any bugs or offer feedback here. "Your feedback is appreciated. We may not always be able to respond to every comment in the forums, but please be assured that we take your comments and feedback seriously," OnePlus notes in its post.

Both these phones received the Android 9 Pie-based OxygenOS Beta update earlier this month. The OnePlus 5 got update 22, while OnePlus 5T received update 20. Those who were already on Open Beta would have received the update via an OTA update. However, those on a the stable release path would have had to switch to Open Beta by downloading the ROM and flashing their phones. However, the risks associated with flashing phones still applied and users ran the risk of bricking their phones.
