Motorola One spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM
The smartphone is expected to be launched as a global variant of the Moto P30, which was recently launched as a China exclusive device.
Motorola hosted an event earlier this month where it unveiled the new Moto Z3 smartphone and its Moto 5G Mod. The company was expected to unveil two more devices at the event, the Moto One and Moto One Power, but that obviously didn’t happen. Now, the Moto P30 was recently launched as a China exclusive smartphone and its global versions are rumoured to be the Moto One and the Moto One Power. Additionally, the Moto One has appeared on GeekBench, tipping that the launch might be just around the corner. Reports suggest that the Moto One might be a less powerful variant of the Moto One Power.
The GeekBench listing suggests that the smartphone could be powered by the Snapdragon 625 platform, coupled with 4GB RAM. It is seen running on Android 8.1 Oreo and if reports are to be believed, then the smartphone will be a part of Google’s Android One initiative and might launch on Android 9 Pie or at least be one of the first devices to receive the update. The device scored 876 in single-core tests and 4299 in multi-core tests, which is to be expected level of performance from the SoC. Unfortunately, GeekBench doesn’t reveal any other information like its camera setup or the display.
However, as the Moto One is rumoured to be the global variant of the Moto P30, it could feature the same 6.2-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 19:9 display aspect ratio. It could come in 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB of internal storage options. In terms of optics, the handset is said to feature a 16MP + 5MP dual-rear camera setup and come with a single 12MP sensor on the front. It could be backed by a 2,820 mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the Moto One Power might come with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a 2280 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is expected to be powered by the same SoC as the Moto P30, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, and could sport 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is also rumoured to be a part of the Android One programme with stock Android 8.1 Oreo. It could be backed by a 3780mAh battery. In terms of optics, the smartphone might come equipped with 12MP + 5MP dual-rear cameras and on the front, it could feature an 8MP sensor.
