Pinterest now allows you to send Pins to friends

Pinterest has made it easier for its users to share their inspirational discoveries with fellow members on the network. Pinterest has introduced a new “Send” button to pins on Web as well mobile platform. The button allows users to forward a pin to fellow Pinterest members, Facebook friends as well as e-mail contacts.

“Have you ever seen a pin you knew a certain friend or family member would love? Now you can send pins directly to your friends and fellow pinners from the web or your phone. You can even include a message to give it a more personal touch!,” software engineer Sunny Rochiramani wrote in a blog post.

If friends repin, like or comment on the pin, Pinterest will let you know through notifications. Moreover, friends with whom you've shared the pin will receive notifications or in their email. As usual, the rollout is gradual, so it may take some to reach to you.

Pinterest had recently restored a slew of features from the older version of the site such as ability to discover users you follow pins from and also mention your friends with “@” tag before their names. Now users can also discover friends on Facebook and Twitter who are on Pinterest. Read more about the update here.
