It is the last day of Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sale but there are still a lot of deals and discounts worth your consideration. Since the winters are fast approaching, we can expect a sharp decline in air quality and the annual outcry over rising air pollution. While there isn’t really much we can do about the outdoor air quality, controlling indoor air and ensuring it is free from toxic particulates is in our hands. So, here we have listed top air purifiers that are currently available with a notable discount, which you can consider for purifying indoor air.
Xiaomi announced the second iteration of its air purifier in India, the Mi Air Purifier 2S, in September last year. The device comes equipped with a single filter that has three different filters integrated. There’s an outer filter for trapping bigger particles, an H-11 grade HEPA filter for removing PM2.5 and lower and an activated carbon filter. It has a CADR of 310m3 per hour and supports IoT functionality as well. It also has an OLED display that shows you the current Pm2.5 levels inside a room via data gathered by a sensor. Check out the air purifier here.
For those who can spend a bit more on an air purifier, the Coway Sleek Pro P-1009 is a good option. The device doesn’t support IoT but has a CADR of 303 m3/hr and can cover an area of 355 sq ft. It comes three filters; a pre-filter, a carbon filter and a HEPA filter. There’s also an Air Quality Indicator on the device, which is basically a light which changes colour to indicate how polluted or clean the air is. Buy the air purifier here.
The Samsung AX40K3020WU air purifier comes with three filters that are said to capture up to 99.9 percent of particulate matter. It also sports an S-Plasma ioniser and while ionisation is known to produce Ozone, which is harmful for human skin and overall health, Samsung says it had the device tested in Japan, at the Kitasato Environmental Science Centre and some other labs. Check out the air purifier here.
We reviewed the Honeywell Air Touch i9 air purifier and found that it works well. Thanks to its H-12 grade HEPA filter, it is capable of performing consistently and lowering the PM2.5 and PM10 particulates to permissible levels. There are no IoT capabilities though but there’s an auto mode, which ensures that the machine switches off when PM2.5 levels dip below 25 µg/cubic meters and start again when it reaches above 75. The Zero1 award winner from last year, the Sharp FP-J60M is available with a notable discount. The air purifier exhibits commendable performance and comes equipped with a highly efficient grade H-14 filter. In addition, it sports the company’s proprietary Plasmacluster technology, which is touted to reduce bacteria and other contaminants with the help of ions. Check out the air purifier here.
