WhatsApp Web has reportedly run into a bug that is stopping users from scrolling up and down smoothly through their chat list. Many users have taken to social media to share their frustrations about facing difficulties in browsing conversations. The issue was spotted on Tuesday and appears to affect only the web version of the app, while the mobile app continues to work as usual. Notably, WhatsApp Web is linked with the mobile app through the Linked Devices feature.

However, not all users have this issue. We also checked for the issues, and it’s working fine for us. However, several users online have also confirmed facing the same problem, with some suggesting that it might be related to emojis and stickers inside chats.

The problem came shortly after WhatsApp suffered a brief outage, adding to user frustration. Notably, Meta has not issued an official statement about the bug, nor confirmed when a fix will be rolled out. Until then, users will have to wait for WhatsApp to push an update and restore standard functionality. Here’s what users have to say.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp was down for some users in India for just over an hour on Monday. Users were unable to log in to a new device due to persistent errors.
