The Redmi Note 9 Pro 128GB and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max have been launched in India. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 128 GB has a quad rear camera setup which includes a 64 MP main lens camera. It has an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5 MP macro lens and 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 16 MP in-display camera for high-quality selfies. The phone has a new slow-motion selfie mode. The phone packs a large 5020mAh battery and comes with 30 W fast charging. The phone ships with an in-box 33 W fast charger that can charge up to 57% in just 30 minutes claims Redmi.
The Redmi Note 8 128 GB was expected to receive the MIUI 12 update this month, however, a new report suggests that the update has been suspended. The phone currently runs on Android Pie based company’s proprietary MIUI 11. The report states that the suspension of the rollout is due to stability issues. Apart from the Redmi Note 8, the update has been suspended for the Mi Max 3, Mi 8 SE, and Redmi K20 as well. Till now the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 9 have already received stable MIUI 12 update.
Redmi has announced that the Redmi Note 9 Pro variants with a Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor will receive the MIUI 12 update in September. The update will be initially available to beta testers, before the final full rollout.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 128 GB smartphone has received the Android 11 update. Initially, the update will be rolled out to select users and will reach all Redmi Note 9 Pro users in the coming days, according to the company. The Redmi Note 9 Pro was launched in March 2020, alongside the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The smartphone initially used to run on Android 10-based MIUI 11, however, later received the MIUI 12 update in September. The update brings a refreshed interface. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 128 GB is available in Glacier White, Aurora Blue, and Interstellar Black colours. The phone has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and has an 84.5% screen-to-body ratio. The device has a 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. It measures 165.7 x 76.6 x 8.8 mm and weighs 209 grams. The Chinese device maker has added a distinctive new camera bump design which is in theme with the new ‘Aura Balance' design. The flash is centered below the four rear camera lenses. The front and back of the phone will be made using Gorilla Glass 5.
The phone has a quad rear camera setup which includes a 48 MP Samsung ISOCELL GM2 primary sensor with a six-piece f/1.79 lens. It has an 8 MP secondary sensor with a 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a third 5 MP sensor with a macro lens, and a fourth 2 MP sensor for depth sensing. It has a 16 MP selfie camera sensor and supports artificial intelligence (AI) based features.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor paired with Adreno 618 GPU and up to 6 GB of RAM. the dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphone runs Android 10 with the company’s proprietary MIUI 11 on top.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with up to 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage that is expandable via microSD card up to 512 GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The phone packs a 5,020 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
The phone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor paired with Adreno 618 GPU and runs Android 10 based MIUI OS. It has 128 GB of internal storage coupled with 6 GB of RAM.
