Oppo is preparing to launch the F3 and F3 Plus smartphones in India on March 23. The company has started sending out media invites for the same. The new Oppo smartphones are likely to challenge Vivo's V5 series for the selfie crown.
Ahead of the official launch, the specifications of Oppo F3 Plus have leaked online. The smartphone, with its dual-front camera setup, will take on the Vivo V5 Plus. Leaked specs suggest that the F3 Plus will sport a combination of 16MP and 8MP image sensors on the front. The rear camera is expected to be a 16MP unit.
The Oppo F3 Plus is tipped to sport a large, 6-inch FHD display with Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone may come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with support for up to 256GB microSD cards. The handset is likely to sport a unibody metal design with 7.35mm thickness and weigh around 185 grams. The Oppo F3 Plus is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor along with 4000mAh battery. The handset runs on ColorOS 3.0, based on Android 7.0 Nougat and will offer 4G VoLTE support.
It is not clear whether the Oppo F3 will also offer dual-front cameras. Oppo, which has touted the prowess of cameras on its smartphones, could dethrone the Vivo V5 series as the best selfie smartphone out there. Stay tuned for full details from the launch.
