Nokia C31

The Nokia C31 recently made its way to the Indian market as the company’s latest budget segment offering. This new phone from the company comes with a 6.7-inch HD display, IP52-rating and triple camera set-up. The phone also gets a selfie camera which is powered by Google, promising to capture "great shots day or night." As the company’s new budget offering, it is currently available at an aggressive price point for the base 3GB RAM and 32GB storage in  three colour options – Charcoal, Mint and Cyan.

In terms of specifications, the Nokia C31 is a device that offers plenty for the price. For example, it boasts of a tall 6.7-inch display with HD resolution – albeit one with a dated waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera. While good enough of the price, the phone’s display does offer thick bezels, which does ruin the design language of the phone.

Under the hood, the Nokia C31 gets 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. This hardware is tasked to run a copy of Android 12 – interestingly a near stock clean UI with barely any pre-loaded apps. Another reason to choose the Nokia C31 is that HMD also promises two years of quarterly security updates. Other than this, the phone also gets a triple camera system with a 13-megapixel primary camera sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors for portrait and macro photography.

To keep the lights on the device is a 5050mAh battery pack. However, this pack is backed by a rather slow 10W charging standard. This is not the fastest in the business, which definitely works against the phone when it comes to recommending the device. But then again, to redeem the Nokia C31 we get support for microSD card on the device and up to 256GB storage, a fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The smartphone also includes a 3.5mm headphones jack and a micro USB port. Overall, all this combined make the Nokia C31 a device that can be recommended for buyers looking to get a new budget segment phone.
