The Moto X4 has a good display, just enough battery life and dependable performance. Yet, it's a phone that I would only recommend to compact phone lovers. There are plenty of phones with better cameras and similar performance, that also happen to be cheaper than this device. For compact phone lovers, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is a more value for money article.

good mobile with decent camera at this price range but the only thing to worry is battery and it lasting for 8 hours in heavy usage
nice
Always Moto phone are best. I've used all Moto phone from Moto 1st Gen to latest Moto X4. Moto X4 is nice phone with lots of features. Moto Actions are my favorite. Camera picture quality is good but not better than Moto G4+ and Moto G3.

In dis review, I'd try to cover things which are not covered elsewhere or in other online reviews. Highlights: *Compact form factor, but with heavy bezels. *Visually stunning black, looks premium. You'd not feel like using a cover, just to flaunt! *Latest snapdragon with 14 nm architecture. Advantages in battery efficiency, not too much in terms of performance over s625. *Fast front fingerprint scanner which can also serve as navigation keys. *Front flash, all the usual sensors (including gyro, which is missing on many phones of late), dual led back flash, motion gesture shortcuts. *4g works on both Sims, but no dual stand by. You can work with only one sim as active while on call. *Even with multiple users set up (I use one dedicated user profile for gaming), the ram was utilization never exceeded 3 gb out of available 3.8 gb, with an average of around 2.4 gb, leaving plenty of leg room for heavy multitasking! *The device can identify external Hdd upto 1 tb that I could test. *Great crisp display at 424 ppi. *Excellent service by flipkart in providing 24 hour free delivery. Battery : Takes Around 1 hour to go up to 90%. Another 25 to 30 mins to go upto 100%. It is advisable to charge the mobile once in the morning for around 30 40 mins which should take you over 80 to 90%. This is enough for moderate daily usage - I used for around 3 to 4 hours of 4g calling, always on 4g Jio, and casual browsing for about an hour. Once back, charge it again for half hour in the evening, which should take you through overnight gaming and movie sessions till your morning charge. To summarize, the battery is quite efficient. Fast charging is excellent. On an average I could conclude that the device gave me on screen usage time ranging between 4 to 7 hours for moderately heavy apps like HD movies, games or multi media. The screen time may be slightly more for casual browsing. This is highly satisfactory. Performance: I loaded heavy games like Asphalt 8, modern strike FPS shooter, Sbk super bike, NBA live, War commander rogue assault etc. to try out different genre of games. It stuttered a bit in war commander and Sbk on a couple of occasions. However, nothing worrisome. Nonetheless it proves this is not flagship where you can run everything at highest resolutions. Daily Jobs would be taken up without breaking a sweat, even with heavy multitasking. However, the OS unloads dormant apps from ram. Camera: Very good, but nothing spectacular. Can't replace your DSLR. Best camera in its class currently. The front flash comes in very handy. I'll not go into too much detail as these are covered at many other places, plus camera was never my priority. Speaker: Excellent. Not awfully loud, but having great quality. You'd hear crystal clear calling as well as enjoy watching videos. The speaker quality was at par with the galaxy series when I compared it with my friend's. Practical Difficulties: +I felt the weight was on a slightly higher side, which may be harmful for long gaming sessions. For having you should have weight around 140 G mark. * The finger print sensor stops working after 72 hours. You need to manually enter your password or pattern once for security purpose to restart finger print. Not a major issue, but not needed for everyone - unnecessary hassle! *Eventhough the screen is small, the new bezel less or slim bezel has its disadvantages when using single handedly. If you try to reach out to another corner with your thumb, you may inadvertently touch something else through your palm! *Even with a smaller screen, there are on screen navigation buttons which eat up the already limited screen space. Of course the workaround is to use gesture based navigation of the finger print sensor. But it'll take some time to get used to. *It'd have been better if the headset jack was provided on top instead of the bottom. Makes life easy while attending long calls or watching movies. *No dedicated memory slot, but install an external sim adapter and hide it with cover. It worked for me. *With great power comes great responsibility... With glossy premium looks, come finger print magnet at the back! It is also extremely slippery, so be very careful. The back glass is definitely not gorilla glass, as it somehow picked up a couple of scratches in spite of my very careful handling. *The bulged out camera puts it in constant threat of getting damaged. I'll have to be very careful. Verdict: The only phone that can match this phone's value proposition is Redmi note 4 (probably note 5 as well in a couple of months time), only because of massive price value offering. Comparisons to MI A1 or moto g5s plus are also valid. However it is head and shoulder above all these in one area or the other. I'd definitely advise to spend the extra 4-5 k over these two for the following *Latest processor architecture *Better selfie camera *Smaller form factor *Premium looks *Water proof rating Do hit that like button, if you like what I've tried to describe!
