Huawei P10 Brief Description

Huawei P10, Huawei's flagship device was launched at MWC 2017. The highlight of the device is its dual-camera set up at the back that supports a 20-megapixel Monochrome Lens and a 12-megapixel regular lens camera. These cameras comes with Leica's latest Summilux H lens inside and feature Leica style portraiture mode which enables 3D Facial Detection, Dynamic illumination for portrait mode (similar to beauty mode), Natural Bokeh effect etc. The front camera is equipped with Adaptive Selfie technology. Other important features are Huawei's fast charge technology, Huawei Geo Technology for improved GPS performance and WiFi 2x2 MIMO technology for faster download speeds.

“The P10 is not meant for use in India”

I bought a P10 (VTR-L29) from China on eBay recently. The model is supposed to be a global variant, supporting all 2G, 3G and 4G bands in India. In reality however, the phone seems to work well only on TDD-LTE bands (40, 41 in India). Moreover, it is the FIRST phone i have come across, even from China, which does not even catch a 2G network in areas of poor connectivity. As a result, i am left holding a phone which drains 20% overnight while just trying to connect to Airtel 2G. It fails to connect to any frequency on Vodafone or Jio.
