The primary 16MP camera is used for taking the image, while the 2MP sensor takes in depth data. The phone then uses this information to create bokeh photos, in which the background is blurred while the subject is in sharp focus. Over on the front, you get a 16MP unit.
Both sets of cameras make the most of the phone’s AI capabilities.
